How old were you

How old were you when you stopped trick or treating? I think I was like 13 but then I was real short so I got way with it. My daughter is 18 and still dresses up and takes a freind of ours grandkids out trick or treating. My daughter is short also lol and doesn't look any where near her age. She is going as Maid Marrianne this year. She loves Halloween and loves taking the kids out trick or treating. Then she comes back and helps man the door at home.

I don't remember how old I was but, if I had to guess, maybe 9 or 10. Maybe younger but, not likely much older. I was excited to start handing the candy out so, I didn't miss it at all. It always bugs me when teenagers come to my door trick or treating. I give them candy anyway because I don't want any issues like them egging or TP'ing my house but, I can't understand why their parents aren't telling them they are too old to be going out trick or treating now. I am a fairly tall girl at 5'8" or a little taller and, even elevated by about 3 inches in my house from my front stoop, some of the teenagers tower over me so, they are likely a good 6 inches or more taller than me. But, whatever. LOL!

hey trick or treating is fun. Im 15 and i still go. i dont see nothing wrong as long as you are under 16 or if you have a little sibling. but i see there is an age limit. i believe if you are a teenager and want to go trick or treating you should take a younger sibling or cousin as an excuse to go out.

I was either 12 or 13 years old, I think. What can I say, it has been years since I've trick or treated! As I had already matured by then I felt silly going out trick or treating, but went with a friend of mine anyway because she wanted to get some free candy!

What??? Stop trick or treating?? I didn't know we were supposed to stop! Nobody told me! Stay young at heart and go trick-or-treating this year. The worst thing that can happen is you will come up candyless!! Have a Happy Halloween!

I've never got a chance to even try it =(. It's not celebrated here in Singapore (except some restaurants or such which try to earn extra bucks will have halloween theme). Yea, so I never get to go trick or treating in my entire life, which is really really sad. Sigh.

I can't really remember how old I was when I stopped trick or treating, I think it was when I was around 13 also. I still like to get dressed up and go out with my friends, though. Your daughter is really nice to help you out on Halloween.

I think I was probably around 8 or 10 when I no longer trick-or-treated for candy. Our church, however, did Trick-or-treat For UNICEF, where we would go door to door another day close to Halloween and collect money for that organization. When my kids were in 4-H, we would Trick-or-treat For The Hungry and would collect canned goods for the local food pantry.

When I was young, 14 was the cut-off for some reason. I guess we wanted to extend trick-or-treating into our teens, without getting too greedy.

I am 18, will be turning 19 this december and I still dress up and trick or treat. Last year me and my boyfriend went together. We painted our faces as icp. It was so fun. He is lazy though, so we didnt really stay out that late. This year I am going as wednesday from the addams family. I still havent found a dress though.

I am 30 years old with six kiddos and I still dress up and go trick or treating with them. Of course I do not ask for candy but you would be surprised how many people insist that I take some for being so "festive" as they call it.

I think I was about 15 years when I stopped. At that age, I was still taking my little sister with me. She's is 8 years younger than me. I used to dress up though with my little sister after age 15 but I didn't trick or treat. We have 2 kids and they are still to young to go off by themselves so we take them. I love taking my kids because they have so much fun! We don't dress up with them any more though but I get a lot of walking time in!

here in the Philippines we seldom have trick or treats so i don't experienced any of that when i was a kid. When my daughter was studying they had trick or treat when she was in nursery it was really fun! Super lots of candies and i even helped her eating all of them! I think its fun to have trick or treat and i am planning on having it in my family. thanks and happy mylotting!

Hi sweetdesign! I've never stopped doing that because I have never started.. Here in my country we don't usually do that because isn't our tradition.. We do celebrate Halloween but not as you North Americans..
