does special effects is more important than a good story for movie?

i just love watching movie.. any sort of movie will do..and i do have my preferences of what should be in a movie. i do like action and drama with special effects. and most of all, i like comedy.. it helped me forget the problems i had.. but there is one thing i want to ask. does special effects is more important than a good story for movie?...

for me, it should have both.. i wouldnt like to watch a movie with a bad story nor a movie with a bad special effects.. the two should be of course in the movie, it wouldnt be interesting to watch a movie with a unintersting story, it seems like that what i paid for the movie want enough for what i had watched..
