have you ever thought of what will happen to your body when you die? my grandmother passed away last week and she never wanted to be cremated because she would like to kick things old school hehehe kidding aside, my uncle and aunt just wanted her to be cremated because of moeny issues. how sick is that right? your mom passed away and the first thing you worry is money not what is best for your mom. they did not want to worry about the expenses on the casket, the wake, the flowers, the time, etc. they just wanted to dispose of the body right away to avoid more expenses. for me that is the most cruel thing to do to a death in the family especially to your parents. the least thing you can do is make their last wishes come true so their spirits can moce on peacuflly. the good thing is that my grandmother's sister strongly disagree on what they wanted to happen so they shipped the body to the province and have the wake there. i wish the wake was also done here though. if i die i want to have a wake so all of my relatives can view my body then its okay if id be cremated after that as long as there will be a wake for me. how about you?

I want to be cremated. I want to have a wake, and i know some places will rent caskets. I have everything figured out but one thing...What to do with my ashes. I do not want someone keeping a hold of them, i want them spread some where...the question is where???

My husband and I both got cremation plans for ourselves. In fact, everyone in our family including my mom, my dad and my brothers and sisters all want to be cremated. We prefer it that way for reasons other than money issues. Personally, first up, I really don't like the thought of associating a loved one as "buried deep in a memorial park".

well mona, as time goes by people can have a choice on how their body should be treated after they die but some stil wants to have it in the old manner of having a wake and being burried 6 feet under the ground.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I think I'd like to be cremated because it's just cheaper and easier. I am an organ donor, so hopefully they'll be able to use something from me to help someone else before I get cremated.

i dont want to be cremated, being burned even from thought scares me! hahaha but really but i also dont want a interment so luxurious and all...i just want it to be simple and private..we had this discussion once, between me and my husband, he wants to be cremated though to avoid all the expenses incurred during burials and all...but personally i odnt want cremation, its a scary thought for me hahaha but its advantage is that when ill be cremated he could put me in the house and whenever he wants to see me, well he could see my ashes, as long as he wont scatter it in the ocean or above a cliff like what they do in the movies hahaha...or vice versa, i could just put his ashes at home and whenever i am lonely, i could just hug the urn or something..scary thought hhahahah
