Have you ever got more than 10 responses for a particular discussion?

I am looking for the secret as well I usually get between one and six responses to any given discussion. I have had two or three discussions that got over twenty responses. Sometimes, what we are interested in or found interesting is not to other people, so they just bypass your discussion. I have also found that it is not because of how many friends you have. I have many friends, but I guess if they are interested, friends or not, they do not respond. Wish you luck

The first time i was here i got more than 10 responses. It even became the top discussion of the day, but as time goes by, I only have few discussion who made 10 discussion. I'm really wondering how to make more than 10 responses. But i think it really depends on the topic where every member here can relate too. Also, the more exposure your topic has, the more responses you will have.

I have been getting about 20 to 80 responses on an average for my discussions. Probably because my discussions are simple. And then there is a lot of matter that can be posted in the response. Very often I find discussions where we cannot answer in more than a few words. These are discussions that do not get much responses.

hi there! fortunately,my very first discussion here in mylot got about 18 or 20 responses,can't recall. as for the secret,i'm still trying to find out what it is.coz most people here especially the veterans do make good when it comes to gaining responses from other members.i even saw one discussion which had 85 responses,i was amazed honestly.we'll just keep posting then.happy mylotting!

i have two discussions which has 10 or more. another one will shortly corss that mark. i feel the secret is to get the kind of questions that prompt people to jump to actions. i have seen that in many discussions i personally participated. i dont know why i went in and participated. your subject should have the ability to attract people to come like magnet attrracts iron dust or nails etc.

Yes I did! I think the secret is to keep your question simple, so anyone is able to understand the question, and it's as well important that many people have been through it, or experienced it. I've got in one day on my discussions 35 responds! with the question; how do you feel or what do you do during a blackout! which everybody ofcourse has been through at least once, and they can share there experiences this way with others! I think I did quite well with making that question! So just keep it with a simple question, which many Mylotters can answer, and you will get surely more then 10 responds on it!----

hi cybersoft yes I have just got 79 responses to a discussion Iposted yesterday and boy was I surprised. it took me almost an hour to reply to all those responces. Most of the time I get ten to twenty and think thats great.Keep on keeping on and as time goes by you will get many more responses cyber, I promise that.

There is no real secret. More exposure will get you more responses. More friends will get you more exposure. Simple! I explain more in detail how all that works in two articles I wrote. You can find them on my profile.

Don't feel bad. Half of my discussions have more then 10 responses while the others have eith 0 responses or very little. Its just that there are so many people here on mylot that start new discussions all the time that will knock yours back to where no one can find it and respond to it. Maybe people don't think that it is interesting like you do. Who knows why people respond to certain discussions and not others. But everyone on here in mylot probably has discussions that have less then 10 or no responses at all. So don't feel bad man.
