I was crossing a bridge... Underneath is a raging river... I kept on walking and running but I never reached the other end of the bridge... What does this dream mean? Does it mean something happy or sad? All your interpretations would be most welcomed.

i had a similar dream. i was walking and running on a very long bridge over a very beautiful blue oceans. this bridge would have rest stops at very beautiful golden sandy beaches, which i would enjoy. then i would continue on this bridge to the next golden sandy beach for my next rest stop. this went along for i dont know how many beaches that i stopped as i eagerly and enthusiastically enjoyed my brisk walking and occasional running on this very long bridge, eager to reach the next island, looking forward to the next one. all of the sudden, this bridge stops in the middle of the ocean, and i see an island ahead, but dont know how to reach it. it seems too far to swim. i stand there, waiting for a boat to come pick me up and take me to the next island. but it never comes and i give up. i start to walk back, very fast, toward home. as i am running on the bridge, i am suddenly inside a sports car or race car, speeding fast on a highway or freeway toward home. i start to daydream as i drive and i lose concentration. my car slides to the right, off the offramp, down a steep but small hill. my car doesnt turn over, and i am ok. my car and i are must immobile, paralyzed and cant move forward. i look around me and i am not familiar where i am. i dont even know how to return home anymore because i dont know where i am. i just sit in my car and stare ahead, wondering what i will do next and how i will get home.

it is similar because of the water and the long bridge, and i was running to reach my destination, but i had more details and stuff going on in my water with bridge dream. mine intrigued me and interested me. that is why i remembered it and its details. my blue ocean was just a lot bigger and prettier than your little river, and i had beautiful islands stops on my long bridge journey. it just stopped after while and i couldnt move anywhere anymore, so i returned, trying to decide what to do next after my road block on the bridge and freeway. u r just pissed my version and cooler than your lame one that u werent able to remember the details like i did.

sounds like you have a huge challenge ahead and although in the dream you didn't make it it doesn't mean that in real life you won't be able to overcome whatever obstacle you're about to face.

Maybe right now you are facing some obstacles and you avoid really facing them by taking the easiest route to your target without facing the problems along it.

i think it means, time is limited, but your task is heavy, you have to strive, you have to struggle. it's not bad dream, but it makes you tired. do you think so?

Hello and welcome to mylot. I hope you enjoy yourself here. As your 3rd responder wisely pointed out, no one can interpret your dreams better or more accurately than you. We can only look in from the outside and provide our opinions based on our own dream work and past experiences. That being said.. here is what I think: A raging river can symbolize troubled waters. Is something in your life is bothering you right now? Is there a crisis? You are crossing over the river on a bridge. It seems you may be finding way "over" the crisis, but the fact that you are not reaching the other side could indicate that you don't feel there is an end in sight. So you keep trying, just like you should in waking life. The bridge could also symbolize a transition in your life.. are you currently doing something different with your life? Maybe you are having trouble "crossing over" because of things in your past or present life. These are just my ideas, take what you will from this and all the other ideas you have been given. If ANY of them give you an "A-HA!" or "EUREKA" then that is probably what it means. You can then begin to understand your dream and maybe have others to guide you through. Good luck and please let us know if any of our ideas make sense to you

Love all the answers here. To me it means you are trying to get somewhere, reach something and you are worried or scared about it. I've always thought that most dreams can be linked to your subconscious. Something that you are thinking about and can't figure out or are worried about, etc.

A river usually denotes a person's health. The bridge indicates treatment. In my interpretation you may have some condition and you were able to undergo medication, but since you got well, you no longer continued with it. Here's wishing you good health and more pleasant dreams in the future. Welcome Nimbles and happy mylotting.

i guess you are thinking one thing all the time, and you want to make this thing to be true, but the fact is that there are many troubles in the period of achieve your goal.the river symbols the troubles, the other end of the bridge is your goal.you kept on walking and running but you never reached the other end of the bridge,i think this symbols it is very difficult for you to reach the goal. but i think "everything is possible",what`s more, this is just a dream,i think a dream can`t complaint anything.you should always believe yourself!

It would not matter what interpretation anyone would give you. The "proper" interpretation lies in your prior experiences that led you to interpret your dream into that story. ;) psychology 101. There has been a thread very similar to this before, you may want to search for it for similar takes. The interpretation would rely on an experience that stuck to you, the feelings involved and such... It's not a premonition (unless you make it one).

i guess theres something that you really want, something that u want to achieve, but u are not sure as to whether you will get it or not...you r chasing your goal with utmost determination but with a certain level of uncertainty in your mind...seems like you are stuck somewhere and you dont know how to move forward...the goal still seems to be far from your reach....
