Yard sale season is about over

My husband and I used to be big on yard sales, our money is funny now do we do not do it anymore. Actually the computer I am using now was bought at a yard sale for $10.00. I owner could not get it to turn off, my husband reloaded it and bingo I have a computer I got a suede jacket still in the clearner's bag with the tag on it at a church flea market for $2.00. We used to also buy close to new or new items and sold them on ebay, we did that for a while and it was pretty good.

I love going to garage sales! I don't have sales of my own anymore because they are so much work and if it rains, it can really cut down on the amount of shoppers. I found quite a few good deals this year, but I think the best find was a bunch of nice canning jars. She had them marked low and made me a deal on all of them!

Yes, I definitely did! I bought two sets of Fire King Blue Mosaic snack sets (4 plates and cups in each set, and still in the original box) for $3.00 a set. I sold them on eBay for $103 for one set, and $75 for the other! (I have a home business as a secondhand merchandise dealer). I usually watch for clothes for the grandkids, and Fire King! I found nine mugs on the same day the last time I went rummaging. I do a lot of yard sales myself, and do pretty good most times!

My parents love to go to yard sales or estate sales. My parents live very close to rich houses, so they like to go to their sales because the things they sale are usually in great shape. They haven't gone in a long time because of the time they have spent working and taking care of other things. But with the weather cooling down, I think they will have two more good months of yard sales ahead of them. Right into December it is still nice enough to be brisk, but not cold cold.

I bought a chair and matching love seat for $75.00, they are in good condition. I can't complain! It was a very good deal!
