Why Do People Travel To Africa To Kill Lions? This Was A Close Call.

These idiots traveled all the way to Africa to hunt lions. I just don't understand it. What are they going to do after they kill the lion? Will they eat it? Will they sit around and admire their lion skin rug? These morons were very lucky. Maybe they might think twice about killing one of God's creators just for fun. Check out this video and tell me what you think. You know how I feel. I wish the lion would have gotten a better swipe at these so-called "hunters". Hunt for food, not for fun. That's my motto. What's yours? Lloyd Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CNgwZgoKFc&feature=related

People with more money than heart will travel anywhere to kill anything. They just have a lust for blood, I guess. I don't claim to understand them because I can't. They make me sick - sick to my stomach and sick at heart. I was cheering for the lion, too, Lloyd. I wish he would have swiped that guy's head clean off. I guess that "hunting" makes some people feel like mighty warriors or something. But one lion against four or five humans with high-powered rifles is not a contest; it's not hunting. It's slaughter. Please watch this youtube video, too: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6T85cOGc8L0 This is one of the main reasons I hate Sarah Palin. She is one of the most hard-hearted people I have ever seen. She hunts moose and eats it - I may give her a pass on that one. But wolves? Does she eat wolves? Does anyone? I think flying in a plane shooting wolves in winter is one of the most sickening things I've ever seen. Please read the video until the end. Tell me what you think about it. I agree with you whole-heartedly. Hunting for food is one thing. Killing for "sport" is another thing altogether.

I just don't know what motivates people like this. I don't know anyone who has a desire to go all the way to Africa to shoot a lion. He was very lucky the lion didn't get a grip on him. It would have been the last shot he ever fired. As far as Sarah Palin is concerned, she's just a complete turn off. I don't want anyone who behaves this way anywhere near the White House. She would set back enviromental controls and animal rights to a degree that is just unacceptable. I just don't like her. Lloyd

Hello Tess. I agree with your reply. There is no sport in hunting any animal from high above in a plane. It seems like a cowardly way to kill an animal. Lloyd

Cheryl - This is yet another reason why I don't like Palin. Its just not right to do this. I can see defending yourself against a wolf (or any animal) attack. But to fly around in a plane shooting them? That shouldn't be allowed. And to me even if hunting WAS a sport - where is the sport in flying over them to shoot them? This makes me very angry.

I feel that the fools are the darn luckiest in the whole world. This is pure jealousy at the mighty beast being stronger and looking royal than the humans. We timid cowards are capable of doing such mean things very efficiently.

These men were very lucky. This is the only way they can show their perceived dominance of this majestic creator. I only hope that they have learned a lesson from this incident. Lloyd http://obamasupporters.gather.com

Personally, why would anyone want to Hunt a Lion? I feel these are awesome creatures, and very beautiful to boot. They are not called King of the Jungle for nothing, that's for sure. Personally, these guys are quite lucky, and I would think everyone could find something better to hunt for sure.

I know that I have no desire to hunt any animal, much less the majestic King of the Jungle. I find it amazing that these people go so far out of their way to do such a thing. These guys need to find another hobby because the next time they might not be as lucky. Lloyd

I agree completely with you. I hate these so called 'hunters'. Why should a man kill other living beings, except in self defense ? I also think these fun hunters should have been hunted by the lions.

After seeing this video, I share your feeling of hate for these cowardly hunters. There's no need to go so far out of your way to kill any animal. These "fun" hunters will come to regret their actions if they continue to behave this way. Thanks for your reply. Lloyd

Their aiming skills have a lot to be desired. I would think they would be better if they are going to be trying to kill such a dangerous animal. Why they do it is beyond me. The animal is in his territory. Maybe for the head/hide...you know the lion rug with the head.(Doesn't fit my home decor). We all know this is nothing new. They've been doing it as long as they have been killing for elephant tusk.

Yes their their skills and morality leaves a lot to be desired. For these men to go out of their way and hunt down these wonderful creatures is beyond my comprehension. This activity must stop. Hopefully someone will come up with a solution to this problem. Lloyd http://obamasupporters.gather.com

I agree with you. I don't see what entertainment they get from killing these majestic animals for sport. I wonder how they'd feel if the tables were turned. I bet they wouldn't like it very much.

I think that is just silly to go to Africa to hunt down wild game. I know we protect them here in America and I am glad. I don't feel it is right to kill a animal and less it is attacking you or someone or you kill it for food.. Do people eat Lion meat? Here in America I know that it is not done atleast to my knowledge. I think they should be left alone to live out their lives as normally as they can. If the person was hurt then that is that lion saying mess with the King see what happens..lol

It is silly, arrogand and inhumane to go to Africa and kill animals in this way. No one I know eats lion for dinner. These people just like to kill. Lloyd

I don't understand either. And of course now many of the magnificent wild animals have been hunted or poached to near extinction. I hate that. I'm not a fan of any hunting. Give me a ticket to Africa and a camera, that would be my kind of hunting.

I don't understand how people just feel they have the right to kill animals in this fashion. It would be ashame if we watched a majestic animal such as the lion go extinct in our lifetime. It's just ashame that this type of thing goes on in our world. Lloyd

lloydAnthony hi I dont get it, they dont eat the meat so why hunt the beautiful creatures? why not just hunt with a camera and take pictures of them, not kill them.wish the almighty hunters had got a swipe or two from a lion's paw, would have served them right for trying to kill God Creatures like that. shame.shame.

I don't get it either. It's such a waste. You bring up a great point. Why not just take pictures? I too wish that the lion would have slapped the mess out of him. Lions are such Majestic creators. Killing them senselessly like that is just insane. Lloyd

I don't know why anyone would hunt a lion of course unless the lion attacked people or something. I have never heard of eating lion, I mean maybe some Africans would if that was the only food source. It's sad.

These idiots were the attackers. They went out of their way to kill such a Majestic animal. The fact that they taped it showed what their motives were. They just wanted something to brag about. It is sad. Very sad. Lloyd

I think its awful. I wish they would put the men in a large enclosure with the lion and let him hunt THEM. I don't understand why people still do this. Aren't the animals on this planet dying off fast enough for them? Its a sad world out there. And one day the only animal left will be man.

It's not only awful, it's inhumane, arrogant and shows the worst of mankind. It's almost as if these type of people are just blood thirsty. They really need to find a different hobby. There's plenty of them out there. Lloyd

Hi lloydanthony, I am so very very anngry with those disgusting monsters, wgy do you think I hate some human beings. The poor lion he should have kiiled the man but the lion was so brave trying to defend himself. Those idiots should be put behind bars to rot the B*****ds. I just can't understand why these idiots wants to kill a beautiful animals like that. They are entitled to live free in their own enverioment. I'm really angry. Tamara

It's almost as if the lion knew what was about to happen and decided to defend itself. I agree with you. They are complete idiots and cowards. Shooting a sitting duck animal with a high powered rifle doesn't impress me the slightest. I understand your anger. I'm angry too. Lloyd

True idiots, These people don't seem to value life, theirs or the lion..For what purpose does this serve? I'm sure this was not taken as food. I see no good in this video, yea to bad the Lion missed....
