Since everyone is scaling back on expenses and I am most definitely one of them I have decided to check out ordering my vitamins and supplements online. And I do wish to find some good feedback on this because I not only buy them for me but I buy them for my parents as well...so it does add up in the stores even with the sweet coupons I have come across in addition to the store's sales. But I checked out Puritan Pride's site after receiving their mail order catalog and they not only seem cheaper through the magazine, but even more cheaper through the web site. They have a sale right now going for buy one get two free...stuff like that. They also have a life member's rewards program that credits you a point for every dollar you spend and when you reach 50 points you recieve a gift certificate. Very nice program considering the costs of everything going up. So have you ever used Puritan Pride products and what do you know about this company? Are they reliable and safe? I noticed I did not see a BBB seal on their site. But I do know from the print catalog that the vitamins and supplements are American made. And what other sites are worth checking out?

I have ordered from Puritans Pride website several times. I have only had a couple of problems with missing items but as soon as I notified them of the error they send the them out immediately. They offer a lot of items and have great sales like the buy 2 get 3 free sales. That's when I usually stock up. I haven't ordered from any other site. If I need vitamins or other supplements I get them at Puritans Pride or my local vitamin shop. If I only need one or two bottles of something I get it locally, it's not worth spending money on the shipping.

Is the shipping cost pretty high? In their mail order catalog it says $1.00 flat shipping order in the states. I tried looking online, but I didn't want to put all my info in until I checked them out.

They have shipping specials sometimes as well. Sometimes it's $1.00 sometimes as low as .29 cents. Their regular shipping rates are pretty normal, that is to say they aren't abnormally high. Since the gas prices went up everybody's shipping rates are high! LOL! I guess it all depends on how far you live from a vitamin shop and how much you are willing to pay for the convenience of having it shipped to your door. My local vitamin shop is very close, right next to the grocery store so I usually buy them there. But if I need a very large order it does save me money to buy online. If you are interested in buying from them it might be worth your while to sign up for their emailing list. They always send me their current sales and shipping offers or specials on certain items. They are one of the few companies whose e-mail lists I don't mind being on. If you change your mind later you can always get taken off the list by going to the link in their e-mails and unsubscribing.

Thanks for the info. I did some checking on the company and found out that they make their products here in the US...which was the most important factor in my deciding to buy online. And I did find out their shipping costs for what I need was around $3.95 still much cheaper considering the amount of the order I am getting compared to in the stores. Thanks again.

Yes i've tried Puritans Pride vitamins and they really are cheaper online. Theres plenty of reviews on all types of vitamins from various web sites. Also Swansonhealth.com is a good vitamin web site.
