have you ever tried eating by hand?

hello fellow mylotters, a lot of people from where i came from eat by hand especially those that lives in the remote area. i even do that at times especially if i am eating grilled chicken. there are even some restaurants in our place that has a wash corner where you can wash your hands before eating it is really fun eating by hand. have you tried it already? and what did you have when you ate by hand?

i have not tried to eat anything by hand that you would not usually eat by hand
By that i mean burgers, sandwiches, KFC and pizza etc
I have never really thought about eating things by hand to be honest and im sure it would be quite fun if a little messy lol
I have yet to encounter a restaraunt that practises this but certainly would be intrigued and have a go if i did!

hahaha!! I surely do. I come from the place same as you. I even have experienced eating in a " kamayan restaurant" we eat grilled chicken, liver and gizzard. You can not ask for spoon in there because that restaurant is made for that purpose. Eating by hand only, no spoon nor fork. I love that.. it is fun!!! but people in America, don't like to do it.

That's not necessarily true. There is a place here that has dinner and a show. They do not provide eating utensils, you eat with your hands. There are lots of things we eat with our hands, actually. There are some things that I eat with my hands that others think is wrong, but sometimes it is just easier to eat it that way, and I do not find it odd or wrong at all.
And, just so there is no misunderstanding, I am not saying this in a defensive way. Just letting you know that it is not completely true

Oh!! really, in what state are you from?? because here in the place where I am, they don't do that unless it is finger food like seeds and some fruits like grape and apples. Most often people here use forks when eating. Good that you have place where you can eat by hand.. I love that...

hi there, it is true that eating in a "kamayan restaurant" is really fun now you remind me of eating in a chicken inasal restaurant i just love it, i am from the chicken inasal capital of the Philippines and it is everywhere in my city. thanks for the post and have a great day!!!

oh! yes. in fact, i feel that the food is tastier and more delicious if you eat it by hand but that depends on what you're eating of course. i love eating by hand if its fried or grilled fish, anything seafood, with mango, tomatoes & shrimp fry sauce. yum-yum! the good thing about where i am right now is that people are also accustomed to eating by hand! at least i dont feel left out! LOL! :D

Hello,Princess! We people of India eat all sorts of foods by hand and we don't get satisfaction if we eat with spoon or fork,we don't think it is convenient.thanx.

I live in India, where the staple food of the people is Rice. Rice is best eaten with hand because you can properly mix it with all the curries and gravies made. Which is not so easy with a spoon. Almost in all Indian households, people eat with their hands and I do too. It's something different and it gives the satisfaction of eating...

In my country almost everyone eats from the hnd even if you are living in a remote area or in the city. Most of them use fork and spoon only when they go for parties. Other than that when you are at home every one use to eat from the hand. We too have a place to wash our hands. Not only when eating grilled chicken everything we eat from the hand. I think you can enjoy what you are eating and also it gives a good taste when eating by hand. Try and let me know.

There are many foods that I eat "by hand" such as chicken with bones in it, sandwiches of all kinds, pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, apples, oranges, chocolate... things like that. Things like soups, and steaks, and salads etc. that would mess up my hands are things that I would eat with a knife and fork.
