Well, its another day of dsl problem. Im the night shift and as usual the calls started flooding and to prevent myself from being annoyed by calls and by annoying people, I decided to close my phone lines and decided not to accept those calls. Hay! I'd rather make my report than listen to all their crap and their angry voices. I understand that they would feel annoyed coz I know there are many dsl users in our city and majority of them are connected with us.

I hope they get it up and going soon..Too bad that you can't have a recorded message saying that you know dsl is down and that it is getting worked on, then you wouldn't have to deal with people like that..

I am glad it worked out..I can only guess what it is you do, and I would probably be one of those people calling, but I wouldn't be rude knowing that it isn't actully your fault..

Are you in customer service , may be then you are not doing your job properly.. In my place too DSL connection goes off for month or fifteen days very often. Its kind of remote area but the BSNL personnel is so nie that he rings me up and tells me how long the connection will be out and what exactly is the problem. I admire him a lot and I have never seen such dedicated person ever, many people call him up and he has such a personal relationship with his customers that no one minds problems while he is around. We just wait it out and till then just keep calling him up and getting updates on the progress of work. I know about networking so often we discuss the trouble and try to solve it together or just see what the possible solution could be.

Do you get into trouble if you shut down the phone line? If you are customer service and you shut down the phone lines then who can they talk to?

I shut the lines for a couple of minutes, answered calls until my throat went dry and then did my report and resumed asnwering after a couple mintues of rest.

I understand you only shut down for a few minutes. I thought you shut down for longer than that.

Hello Zelmarq. It is really annoying to have DSL connection down every so often. Whenever this happens, I will make a phone call to China Telcom and I will tell them about this. But it is good that I will get back the connection in about five or ten minutes at most.

Oh, I feel so bad about it. I think that their service needs to be improved for net users to have a faster and better service. Good luck to you, friend.

You too? Wow, it's getting by the look of it a global problem! very strange..I've heard this week already about dsl connection problems in Holland, Germany, Hungary and more countries! I must say, I do use my phone and it's always connected when I'm on the internet, and I must say I don't have any problems with internet, wether it's connected or not..I think this is the providers problems, due to their capacity like you said, and I hope they will solve it in time!

I thought its only on the Philippines and I really dont like it when the dsl is down, there are many irate subscriebrs who called and of course I cant do anything about it. Im like a damaged tape saying things over and over again andmy throat is getting dry, asking when, what happened and so many questions I wish I know the answers but have no idea.

Well, fortunately you are not in my country or I would be adding to your list of complainants. My dsl hasn't worked properly since I signed the contract for it. I can't blame these people for being angry as I understand exactly how they feel. All my phone line needs is a booster and each time I try to explain to the phone company they just tell me I need to phone technical support and as there is only one phone company here, I can't even change over to another phone company. It makes me mad.

I wish that I could get DSL in my area. I have lovely dialup internet connection. I hardly ever lose connection though so that is one good thing.
