I almost forgot the childhood things I did. Have you?

Just a week ago, I was talking about one of my closest cousins about the silly things we did when we were children. They were pointless. But fun. And she recalled the times where every time we saw the leaves falling, we knew it was time to go outside. We would take turns. One would lay down, the other would cover them down with leaves. And whenever someone passed by, we would jump out and scare them. It was an everyday routine. And it didn't matter how many times we did it, it just kept getting funner. I became shocked at the fact that I almost forgot about it! I guess it becomes more pointless as we grow. Do you have any vague childhood memories?

I had a wonderful childhood, and I can remember I only really came inside to eat and sleep and if it was raining...kids used to play in the street, simple games like skippy, hop scotch, playing with swap cards with the other kids in the street and forever walking my dolls in a pram, kids don't do things like this anymore...

I try to forget my childhood memories, they weren't very good. I'm sure I had a few good times, but I really can't recall what they were. Why is it that it's easier to remember the bad, than the good?

Yeah, you have a point there. I guess it's because they're more traumatizing then the good ones. We don't cherish the good memories until we grow. I had times myself. And, yes, like you, I still remember them. But I just try to recall the good ones, accept the bad ones, and move on.

Yes, a lot of vague childhood memories. I couldn't recall many things that have occurred in my childhood days. But, there are a few things in my childhood life that I could never forget, one is when I had an accident when I was in kindergarten and the other one when I was 5 years old, witnessed a paddling of a man until the other got bloody, we were on a vacation in Canlaon during that time. It was unforgettable.

My childhood memories aren't vague at all. Through my family and friends we keep these alive in our minds and reminisce very often. You mentioned a wonderful time in your post... raking leaves, hiding or jumping in them and the joy of just playing like we did back then. Hopscotch, dodge ball, hide and seek... wow, those really were the days!
