what have you cut back on due to the economy?

i have cut back on so many things and i have to keep cutting. we used to keep up with paid warranties on all of our major appliances and they have all just lapsed as i cannot afford it any longer so i hope nothing breaks because i cannot afford to get them fixed either. i am not having a bday party for my son this year except for a cake and some family over for a small get together, i am cutting back on christmas spending and not sending cards this year and we are going to have our land line phone shut off and just use our cells. we just cannot afford any of these things anymore. it is getting scary and every time i turn around any company is going out of business.

Hi,
While the US Economy Crisis is not affecting us in India too directly;it has had some indirect effects in terms of Higher Interest rates and lower Export Growth .
So;we also have started emphasizing on our savings .
I have switched back to buying from local one-shop stores (called as "Kiraana" Stores in India ) rather than from Multi-Branded Wal-Mart or Texaco / Marks and Spencers' type Departmental Store.
I use a Two-Wheeled Scooter instead of car to nearby places; thus saving on Petrol which has touched Indian Rupees 50.62 (a bit above 1 USD at present exchange rate ) .
$1 = INR . 47.5
I have also stopped watching Movies at Movie Theatre and instead watch through Rented DVD s and CDs .
