I have a Brindle 'pitbull' as you can see. Here in Canada they are trying to wipe the breed out altogether because they say they are to dangerous. I know there's alot of pitty attacks but most are raised like that by their owner and now the breed is endangered of being totally wiped out. Whats your thoughts and comments. My dog is'nt a killer but she is very protective of me and the family and would hurt some1 if they hurt one of us now does that make them dangerous? You tell me!

i had a pitbull for 14 years. she was the biggest baby in the world. it is all on how the owner raises them. yes they are protectors. but if raised right they are no problem at all. my pitbull was also brindle. i think that they do get a bad rap but they shouldnt. thanks.

They do get a bad rap and it sucks cause like your dog mine is the biggest suck in the world. She likes to sit on the couch like shes a person, sitting with her back against the cushion upright. She also loves sleeping with her head on a pillow covered with a blanket to her neck. Thanks for the reply I wish all other people had your same opinion!

I think pitbulls are misunderstood. I know someone who has two white pitbulls and they are the nicest pitpulls I've ever met. I also know someone who has a pitbull and they have to keep it locked up when they have company over cause it was trained to be a guard dog. They only let it out when they aren't home or at night. I think it depends on how they are trained. I don't think they should be whipped out because of the people who want them as guard dogs. Don't punish the dogs because of the owners decision.

I agree with you. My dog has got to have a mussel when people come over cause like that last dog you where talking about mine would kill if she feels we are being threated. Shes a big baby just misunderstood for sure. But you can be fined for everything with these dogs now. They have to be fixed, your not allowed to adopt, they are suppose to have some of back teeth removed, suppose to be on a 3 foot leash while outside and my personal fav "NOT" musseled.

I have never met a pitbull I didn't like. Any dog can be dangerous if you aren't prepared to commit to them. Did you know the top offenders for biting are cocker spaniels and retrievers? They are not outlawed because they don't cause as much damage as larger dogs. It is all about the owners. My dogs are very protective too that is why they are treated with love, a firm hand and common sense is used at all times. By the way she is gorgeous!! My dogs' job is to protect the family and that is what they do. It is my job to protect my dogs from idiots and bad situations.
