I am thinking about decorating my lounge and am trying to decide on a color. I haven't painted it before. When I moved in three years ago the top of the wall was yellow and the bottom of the wall was blue. I soon got used to it and the colors felt tropical. I got two paintings of beaches with palm trees and put them on the wall. I bought curtains with a blue, yellow and gray pattern. I got flooring put in that looked like wood. In my kitchen the walls are white and in my hall the walls are beige. In my bathroom the walls are yellow. In my son's bedroom the walls are blue and inmy bedroom the walls are white. What color walls do you have in your home? Did you choose that or was the color already there? Have you any plans to decorate?

Hi. maximax8. I have off white walls in my front room. I have beige walls in my son and my husband's storage room. We have a wall paper that is green and white in our bedroom. And in my kitchen we have another pattern of wall paper too. In our bathroom, we have one pattern of wall paper that matches my bedroom color. And in my other bathroom we have the same pattern of wallpaper that is in my kitchen. It is like a here and there kind of pattern. I don't have any plans to decorate. We are living in a rental mobile home. All of the walls came like it is now with the mobile home when we first have moved into it. If I do decorate, it is only when I put pictures on my walls. My husband said that he was thinking about repainting our front room walls though.

When I and my husband moved in this apartment we are renting, it was made clear in the contract that we can not paint the house in any other color. So we just kept it this way. The overall color is white and I have nothing against it. I hate dirty white or cream colors because they look darker. I just like pure white. I also like tropical colors like light green, sky blue and light yellow. But that would only be possible once we have our own house.

Hi there, the color of the wall in my home is cream, still somewhat like white. I decided the color of it because it looks clean on one's eye and most likely i have a lot of frames/ picture hanging and hanging cabinet for my jar collections.

the msjority of walls in our house are beige which is ok because i love the country look (antiques, etc) and beige makes a great backdrop for the stuff i have collected and continue to do so.

The walls in our lounge, dining and kitchen area are all cream. The color on my sons bedroom wall is light yellow and the color in our master bedroom is a shade of brown. The landlord did the walls before we moved in. It would be nice to have some color in the lounge area though.

My husband and I are building a house and let me tell you- agreeing on colors wasn't easy. We're both pretty different with our preferences for decorating. I'm funky and he's traditional. Our dining room is a tanish color with a Venetian plaster and gray/black trim. It's very sleek looking. Our kitchen is red, bedroom is differeny browns and tans. Three walls are a brown color and one wall had different color brown/tan strips with a bold red strip in the middle. Our downstairs living room is a sage green color and the master bathroom is a matching brown color for the bedroom. Upstairs bathroom is a bright bold blue color with white trim. The big living room upstairs is an orange color and it's my favorite room of the whole house. My office is in oranges and yellows and I'm using bright blues for accent pops. The other bedrooms are still works in progress as far as colors go. I wouldl ike to do one room in purple though.

my living room - I hope you can see the wall color
I am renting right now and to tell you the truth I haven't really paid much attention to the colors of my walls so as I am posting this I am going to look around my house and check the colors. So first room I am going to go check is my bedroom, so I will be right back as my bedroom is right off of the office I am using to type this. Okay, so the walls in my bedroom are a darker shade of beige but not too dark. My office has the same color but a little darker shade of beige. My livingroom is a dark kind of beige or a light kind of brown. I am going to post a picture of my livingroom and hope you can see the color of the walls. Yes you can see the color of my walls. Pretty dark in the picture though, not quite as dark in real life. My diningroom walls are the same as the livingroom and my kitchen walls are grey. My bathroom walls are a very light beige, almost white. My daughter's bedroom walls are a light kind of purplish red.

the interior of our house is painted with yellow while our kitchen is light purple. my brother painted the wall and i just selected the color yellow just to brighten up our house since our house appeared too dark inside. yes i have plans to decorate but unfortunately, there's financial constraints. hopefully, someday i could redecorate our house.

At the moment I'm boring - color wise. My last house had every single room painted a different color. It was like living in a box of crayons. LOL My current place was so dark and gloomy when I bought it, and covered in dark brown panneling. YUCK. So, I came in with a nice crisp white and painted everything from the ceiling down to the baseboards. Now when the sun shines its bright and cheery. Although I do admit to missing my crayon box. Maybe the next place I'm moving into in a few months will have a few colored rooms.

We live in an apartment so sadly all our walls are beige. In one bathroom the tile is blue and goes up halfway on the wall. In the other bathroom the tile is dark beige and goes up halfway on the way. We haven't painted becaause usually we move as soon as our contract is up. This apartment we are considering staying in and if we do we will decorate. For the living room I want to paint the walls green. Like a jungle type green. I can't explain it but it will look so nice. I have white furniture and green pillows on it. I have light wooden hardwood throughtout the whole apartment. So The jungle them will work out great in the living room. In the bedroom I plan to paint the walls terra cotta. I have a burnt orange/red sheet set on the bed with a green comforter. So a lighter color of the sheets would work out. We have a white rug on the floor and a bed skirt that is cream colored with plants on it. I think that will flow together. I haven't decided how I will change the living room. I think i will leave the bathrooms and the kitchen the way it is. I do think I might paint a mural on the empty wall in the kitchen, but am still contemplating.

Our walls in our home are mostly painted magnolia and apart from my bedroom which is actually wallpapered, it's blue, blue is the best colour I think because it's cool, soothing and relaxing to the eye. My curtains actually match the colour of my duvet which are blue. I don't have a carpet on the floor and have rugs instead but beneath is blue linoleum. We don't have the money to change any of the decor and for me it's only temporary that I am living here till I can afford to move on again.

we have a cappucino color in our living room, dining room and entry way and loft area, my sons room is a hawaiin blue color, the master bedroom is a light celery green and my kitchen is a light gray color. they are all fairly muted colors except for the blue which is a bit on the brighter side to go with his ocean theme he has going on in his room.

I have quite a range of colours in my home - I guess it's what you would call funky! I have red and white in my bedroom and in the spare room I have red, purple and black. The bathroom is pretty simple in white but the only room we havn't done since moving in as it would be a big job! The living room is brown and cream with bits of red and the kitchen is green. So quite a variety of colours and each room looks so different!!

It is important that the color in the different rooms around the house together logically. Analyze each of the tones; determine which is colors, and in what proportions, they complement each other to give the final result. Here are household helpful hints from choosing room colors. 1. Brighten up the darker spaces by painting the walls in pale colors. 2. If you paint a high ceiling a dark color, will make it look lower. 3. A light blue or gray make a small room seem wider.. 4. Use the wall colors to make off areas according to actives. 5. Red and reddish tones are bold, exciting colors which stimulate movement. They are especially suitable for work areas.
