I got this from a text message. How would you guys answer this question? You are driving a bus, you had to stop and you see three passengers. Unfortunately, only two of them, can get inside the bus. One of the passengers is a friend of yours who saved your life once before, the second is an old lady who is really sick and needs to be taken to the hospital right away, and lastly the third person is, the woman/man that you have always dreamed of.. What would you do? Who would you leave behind?

This response makes no sense to me. First of all...obviously the friend is at the bus stop because the friend needs the bus for transportation. So how would you ask the friend to take the old lady to the hospital? How would that be accomplished? What would you getting off the bus have to do with anything? You are still the driver. I am confused by this answer. Can you tell?

Not a cheater my dear. I was posed this problem earlier too. Of course I could not answer it then, but later I learnt the answer, so when I say this question of yours, i was ready with the answer. For a change I thought I was smart. ha ha ha

I agree with mercuryman3a. That is the perfect answer to this text message. I have received this text message before and was told that the perfect answer would be what mercuryman3a had mentioned. But logically speaking, If I were driving a bus why would it be impossible for three persons to get in? The bus' minimum capacity would be what? 20? So I think all of them would fit in the bus.

Err, I forgot to mention in the message that the bus is supposed to be full.

I am glad that I am not a bus driver and have to deal with these questions. It surely is very coincidental that these people should bother you when you're driving a bus. I think it is very silly and I might just decide not to drive a bus at all in my entire life. Cheers!!

Actually it's a job interview question. To give you a clue. All four of them will be benefited yes including the bus driver. Even only there are only two people who can ride the bus.

you make me think of it wew... but my answer is the 2 option... the old lady and my friend. the last option can wait for my return or something like that... the 2 first option was the most important than the last so i have to do it for the sake of life and dept...

What if the girl is somebody you knew and somebody you want to marry? Let's say you've already lost the chance to be with the person and this is the last chance for you, what would you do? I know it's tough but use your imagination..only 1 person got the job because of his answer.

Intriguing answer. Would you like to talk about it? . Kidding. The girl of you dreams will come in one way or another in the most unexpected places.

I would hope I had a phone. First of all I would call an ambulance for the sick old lady who needed to get to the hospital. The bus is no place for her and buses generally have to follow a set route so it would probably not be allowed for her to be taken to the hospital on that bus. That would then make room for the other two riders no matter who they might be to get on the bus. Taking care of the sick woman would be the priority though...getting her the right help she needs.

Let's say you don't have a phone and you have no choice but to decide what to do at that very moment. The next bus will arrive after an hour.

I am sure the buses have some kind of communication devices where they communicate with the main station. For sure it would be the same answer....if the lady is that sick she needs an ambulance, not a bus.

The man of my dreams stay behind... why? Well, there are million of other guys on the planet. As the saying goes, there are plenty of fishes in the sea. The reason why the friend would be taken with me is because since they saved my life, I would forever be in debt to them. Now, the old lady needs to be taken to the hospital right away... i'm not going to tell her "No, you have to stay" just because I was being egotistical and selfish. If she has a chance of living, by god, she's going to the hospital- even if I have to drive 30mph over the speed limit!

Thanks for the response. This question was asked to 100 aspiring persons who are competing for one job position. Only one of them got the job. Honestly, I really wouldn't know how to answer this if it was asked in job interview. I definitely won't able to get the job.
