Obama Accomplishments!

I found this list of "accomplishments" of Barack Obama and thought it might prove enlightening to some here on MyLot. With a list like this, is it any wonder that Obama has done well?(turns down sarcasm a notch)I would like to point out that Obama started out making 13 thousand a year and then went into state politics and now federal politics and yet has a home he purchased just 4 years ago for 1.6 million dollars! I really didn't know politics paid that well! Of course, can you spell Rezko? Now I know that people think they have dispelled any type of shady dealings between Rezko and Obama concerning the home deal and why not, Obama and Rezko say it just isn't so!I know one thing though; if Obama had been instrumental in getting me 14 million dollars worth of contracts I probably would have scratched his back and denied it too! All of Obama's other so called "accomplishments" are coat-tail hangars at best! Someone allowed him to put his name on them and one being John McCain which prove McCain DOES reach across the aisle and perform non-partisan politics! Here is the list: http://www.obama08-wa.com/files/experience.pdf

I saw this joke this morning in the Reader's Digest and it said " If you can blow millions of dollars on a political campaign how can this person can be trusted with financial responsibility" I wonder who they meant?????

Whiteheather, I have always marvelled at the way the MSM guages how well a candidate is doing by how much money he is spending. How is it anyone can look America in the face and literally say, "I am spending hundreds of millions of dollars to get elected to an office that pays less than a half million dollars per year, but I can spend your money wisely"?

Often times a person will add their name to a bill after it looks like it will pass. It is a way to score points at home. Remember the SCHIPS bill that had sponsors until it was revealed that families making up to $80,000 would be covered. The ethics reforms that prevented free rides on Corporate jets also allowed politicians to ride the corporate jet and pay only the first class fair of a commercial airlines? How many earmarks do the politicians request and how were they used and what money came back to their campaign? Why does Senator Obama not talk about his lawsuit for ACORN to force Banks to make risky loans to people who can't pay them back? Why not talk about all the bills he sponsored that provided money to his Pal Tony Resco to build housing for the poor? What else did he do as a community organizer other than register voters and fight for asbestos removal that is still not done in many of the Housing Projects in Chicago? lets see some of those things talked about.

Bobmnu, Thanks for the comment. I agree, he is a good coat-tail rider and yeah, why doesn't he want people to know just how complicit he was in the disaster that now befalls the American people?

That site is so full of sh1t it would make a good feedlot. Talk about padding a resume. The fact that he started at $13000 and was able to buy that kind of house demonstrates how crooked he really is. Those sweetheart deals and outright bribes are supposedly what he is running against, but those are what got him to where he is, along with certain handlers and mentors that he is denying.

Destiny, Thanks for the comment. I agree, he is a hipocryte when it comes to this and his association with the likes of Rezko and his so called "private" donations from everyday people. Watch for another discussion started by me on the subject of campaign contributions.

What Obama has done well is to convince too many American people that he is the person they should elect as our next President! Unfortunately, that doesn't say much about how well the American people research the candidates before they vote.

Newtondak, Thanks for the comment. You are right, most "Obamites" are just mesmerized by his charisma that he could say anything and get away with it. It is a shame that people this election year are so determined to get "change" that they are failing to get the facts and listening to empty rhetoric.

I've wondered about that house too. One article I read said that he only paid $800,000 for it but that it's valued at $2 million. How does someone who has never earned more than he does now buy something that expensive? I know that his wife is an attorney, but they are so intent on telling everyone that they are middle class folks, that there has never been any mention of her making a ton of money. Weird. On that list of accomplishments, I got a chuckle about this part: passed over 600 high money law firm offers to work for civil rights practice at fractional pay. Do you think that 600 law firms wanted him?

Kenzie, Thanks for the comment. I would like to see that list of law firms. I suspect there will never be a list in writing since that would leave Obama wide open for a suit! I believe that number to be grossly exagerated.
