I feel like a giant bruise

It's amazing where you have muscles. We have been doing a lot of work on the house and I have been planting herbs and flowers. Now you must understand, in the past, if I planted it, chances were it was going to die and quickly. I honestly don't know what has changed but my plants are thriving. We put a brick planter at the back porch and I have rosemary and sage growing. There is coleus in pots and flowers to draw butterflys and ornamental grasses. We put a small fountain out front. We painted the outside of the house. We put up some fencing. I painted two concrete cherubs last weekend. Mainly cause there were a few drips from painting the house. The up and down and lifting and squatting has finally gotten to me. My back, sides, arms, neck, and legs hurt something terrible. Don't even think of touching them. I literally feel bruised. It's my muscles of course and I took a nice long hot bath but I still feel sore. Though it may soud like I am complaining, I'm not. I am so glad to be getting things done around the house and to actually have living plants! Yes, I need to take a little break and allow myself time to heal. My husband was teasing me just the other day about the plants. He knows I never imagined I would plant something other than a cactus and it would live. So, actually, in spite of the pain, I'm bragging.

hi carolyn...that is quite a way to put it. hehe. i had a job sweeping for 3 days in the heat. and i was sore all over in 30 minutes and wondered how i would survive the job. i got blisters pretty quickly too. it was very difficult but i hung in there and did the job. i was even told to slow down to conserve my strength in the heat. it was better by the third day but i was glad to be finished with the job. whew.

that's bad when you can't sleep. hope you are able to sleep soon because that is the best way to recover. it seems to take forever to recover but it is encouraging when each day you feel a little better. so hang in there.
