I have been living with room mates for the past two years and i am beginning to loose it now. When i first moved into the apartment, there were two girls(sisters) living there. I knew the younger sister and she was very decent person to live with. The older sister was on inconsiderate person i have ever met in my life. She was very messy and her room was like a pig sty. I did all i could do to keep the place clean and be patient. First the younger sister moved out and this august the older one moved out too. Before she moved out a male friend of her's moved in. He seemed like a good guy, but again the kitchen was messy. Finally i lost it and screamed at him to keep the kitchen clean. Now there is anther guy living with us and ohhhh boy he is messy as hell too. They are both very awesome guys to live with but i hate some of their habits. These are habits i hate in my room mates 1. They never clean the stove when they are done cooking. 2. They leave dirty dishes in the sink. 3. They never take the recycling out in time. 4. They take shower and never rinse the bathtub. 5. They would never change the toilet roll. 6. They never wipe the bathroom sink after they have shaved or washed their face. 7. One of them has cat and never seem to clean the litter box every day. 8. They never put things in their proper places. 9. They smoke too much pot in their room, and i don't like the smell of it when i get home from work. 10. They never sweep the floor or mop it. So, how many of you have had problems with room mates like mine? How did you resolve it? Should i be charging them for cleaning the place every weekend? Help me!!!!! :(

Hi. The best way I guess to resolve it is agree on the chores, like you have a chart where everyone has a task to do the following with names and dates corresponding.

Hi, thank you for your response. I wanted to come up with that idea, but one of the guys said that was not needed. What bothers me is that they are not teenagers. They are both 25. Making a chart is easy, but i can't force them to follow it. :(
