You go to the fridge expecting to find some leftovers you brought home last evening. Only to find the thing you wanted gone. Has this ever happened to you? My hubby brought home most of his meal from the restaurant last night as well as some of mine. I had a taste for it. So I went looking. GONE!I know most of it was his, but I couldn't help be a little disappointed.

That would stink. I know there was this one time when I went to O'Charley's with my family and I bought a chicken strip dinner. My wife also bought the same dinner but essentially ate all her dinner up. I, on the other hand, got full. (There's this deal on Mondays and Tuesdays at O'Charley's where you get soup or salad and on entree and soda. It makes for a nice date night.) Anyway, packed mine up and took it home. I snacked on the chicken strips the evening and in the following morning. My wife, apparently, put a chicken strip in the box, too.. so I guess I finished her chicken strip meal without realizing it.

It happens to me quite often when I bring a pizza left over. I go to search for it in the morning to take it as a breakfast and phew.... it seems that i have hungry ghosts living in my house. It would be gone before you can even blink your eyes.

My husband and I respect each other's leftovers. We frequently go to a diner by us where for $16 you can get a soup, salad, main course (prime rib is $16 and the most expensive - 1/2 of a stuffed chicken is like 10 or 11) with vegetables, a potato, and rolls as well as a huge chunk of dessert. We eat the soup and salad and part of the main course, bringing home the rest of the main course and dessert. Dessert is usually several hours later that evening and the rest is another meal or lunch with still some left overs.

My leftovers usually stay right where I put them. I sometimes even forget that they are in there. Every once in awhile my son will get into them, but not very often. He usually does not even eat his leftover restaurant food.
