What would it take you to be polygamist?

I don't think you're a polygamist, because it's not so common, but if you are, tell us all about it! I want to know what it would take to make you willing to have more than one spouse. Would you want to be one woman with many husbands? Have one husband, with several other wives? Or, does it not matter to you as long as you all love each other? I don't know how I would feel about sharing a man, I mean, if he had another wife, I would only have half of him! Plus, one man sounds like enough to deal with. But if I had to choose, I think I would have two husbands. Maybe 7!

To be painfully honest, I'd sooner have a frontal lobotomy than entertain 2 wives, that's double trouble. Not even after the consumption of a litre bottle of Bundy would it enter my head. And, I may add, my wife would have to had consumed a bottle of Gilbeys to utter these words, "Let's have a threesome with my sister".

No, I couldn't imagine sharing my spouse with another woman. And, he couldn't imagine having two wives. How do I know that? When we were watching Big Love, the TV series (where the one guy has 3 wives), he told me that one woman was way more than he could handle. Went something like, "I got my hands full!"

]I don't know. I really think that it is based on the character of the person. There are people that do feel that they can not be with one partner their all life, and instead of cheating or doing other things they go for this kind of life. and that is o.k.:) i do believe that a person could love more then one partner, that happens. I for example could not live with more then one partner, it would drive me crazy, at least at this stage, but you can never know what the future holds..

No, I could never be a polygamist. It's enough work training the husband I have - who would want to take on another one! Far too much trouble! Also, there's no way I would ever be willing to share a man. It just wouldn't work for me.

i don't think i can handle it. My husband sleeping next room with another woman? it would certainly make me crazy..as christians we are allowed to marry to one person only. But in the muslim tradition,(my apology to them) they have this kind of practise that allowed them to have many wives (4 the least?), provided they can support the family. but there are some others do not practise with this kind of thing. Women with 2 or more husbands? I would say that maybe it happens but in a discrete way..What You think ladies??

Thats all we need is another woman to please!!!!! I have a hard enough time with one!!!! Don't get me wrong, threesomes are hot, but being legally obligated to please more than one woman, come on.... I am not interested. Good topic though

I couldn't do it. Not on a clear conscience but that is just how I am. I would rather marry one woman and stay with her only. If I had to, I probably wouldn't jump at it because it just isn't something I could do. I guess it's more of having a clear conscience on it or something. To answer what would it take, I couldn't tell ya exactly because that thought has never crossed my mind.

I'd settle for just one partner. I don't really like the idea of sharing my husband to any other woman but ME and only ME.
