What's the best way to cure constipation? Aside from drinking lots of water? Because I don't think that works for me.

im 8.5 months pregnant and i didnt know till two weeks ago when i had a blockage that if you eat a fiber one bar it keeps things working correctly. of course fluids are essential but you also need to find out why your having issues a colonastopy wouldnt be a bad idea just to make sure you dont have any pallaps or hemmroids or something in there that could be causing issues. of course you can always take stool softeners but make sure you talk to your doctor you dont want to use anything that is a stimulant cause then your body will get lazy and not get rid of the stool like it should so it has to be something non stimulant like glycerin suppositories or a soft bowel softener. juice is another option cause juice makes you go...especially prune or apple juices. hope this helps have issues myself being pregnant but we all learn as we go. good luck.

eat more green veggies, lots of water, and fiber is the most natural way to cure it . If you have constant constipation you may want to visit your doctors you could have a blockage.

Here's a list of fiber containing food. And fiber is useful in combating many disorders besides constipation. GOOD SOURCES OF FIBER: Fruits: especially apples and prunes. Vegetables: potatoes with their peel, spinach, artichokes, cabbage, peas Whole grains: barley, whole wheat (you should eat whole wheat bread because of the bran it contains), oats, corn. Nuts: peanuts and almonds. Dried fruit: apricots, plums, figs, dates Legumes: soy beans, lima beans, lentils, chick peas. Note that there are numerous types of fiber, and that you should alternate between them. For example, the fiber contained in apples and the fiber in cereals are both essential, since they don't have the same digestive function. :)
