Sometimes, I am tempted especially when there are no available spots to stop, but I do not. I am guilty of parking in a Mother to be spot, and was not pregnant. Have yo ever parked in one of the special parking zones and it did not apply to you?

I have a blue badge which is a handicap badge here in the UK. It does particularly annoy me when I see a well person park in a handicap bay. We also have a problem with people showing there relatives badge even when the handicapped person is not with them. I'm afraid I do not agree with Chevees reply that she watches people after they park in a H.Bay and gives them the eye if they walk properly. You would not necessarily think that I was handicapped but after 20 yards or so I need to sit down as I get short of breath so walking around a store is very hard work.

I understan what you are saying, not all handicaps are physically visible. I know some people use badges that do not belong to them. That is not right to do.

No. These parking spots are for people who need them. Especially parking for pregnant women. A mother to be could pull in after you, and that could have been closest to the store for her. Especially pregnant, that's kind of wrong... You never know when the parking lot will fill up... Handicap I don't either, but I do think there are too many handicap spots at stores where most couldn't possibly be necessary.

I understand what you are saying, but a pregnant woman is not handicapped. Actually the walking can be good for her, since it is a form of exercise. That's the reason, just like you mentioned that there are more handicap spots than pregnant, since pregnacy is not an illness.

I've never seen the Mother to be, spots! Wish I'd known about those when I was pregnant. I worried about walking across the parking lot behind all those cars and possibly getting backed into by a car. I guess that's a new thing.

I live in New Jersey, and they just recently started putting up mother to be signs, near the store entrance, I have only seen them at the supermarket though.

I park at the handicapped parking at the library when the library is closed and I'm dropping off books in the slot, but I'm not going to do that anymore because it's not worth $250.

I do not park in handicap parking spaces, when I see someone parking in one I stand there wait and watch to see if they are handicap. If not I stare at them, to let them know that I don't appreciate them doing this, they never seem to care one way or the other how I feel, they stare back and politely go on about their business.

What if the store is closed?
