Would you pay more money for a better tasting pizza or buy cheap?

Today we ordered pizza from Pizza Hut and I paid two dollars more for the Super Supreme. It tastes so much better with all the toppings and not just a few. I think it was worth the extra money. I could have gone cheap and bought a cheaper pizza for $6.99 but then it wouldn't have tasted so good. You get what you pay for, quality wise. When you are ordering pizza, do you go for the extras, even though they cost more? Or, do you go cheap on pizza, just to save a couple dollars?

I normally go to a place where a large pizza is $8.49 and they do not charge for toppings. A cheese pizza and a pizza with the works is the same price. They do charge $1.59 for extra cheese and I normally get that.

If I have the money to spend then I go ahead and get the more expensive pizza. If I have to buy cheap pizza I usually do that for the kids when they are asking for pizza. I would rather eat something else instead of eating cheap pizza. It is getting harder though these days with our economy getting worse and worse. I just hope our economy turns around soon. Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!!

Same here! If I have to eat bad tasting pizza, I'd rather not eat pizza at all. We don't really buy it too often and it lasts a couple days, and everyone gets some, so it's no more expensive than a trip to the grocery store. Thanks for your comments. Have a great day!

Well I have a pizza shop just about 8 doors down from me but it is a gourmet pizza shop and their pizza's are all one size and they are about $17 each, they are very nice but I have only bought from them once, I prefer to pay less than that so I guess the price does make a difference...

Yeah, $17 is a little out of my price range too.

If food isn't going to taste good, then I am not interested in eating it. Fortunately the place here that makes good pizza doesn't charge that much, so I don't have to pay more for a good pizza. I wouidln't buy a bad tasting one just because it was cheap.

They used to have the best pizza in a little pizza place in upstate New York. It was three dollars a slice. But each slice was about the size of a small pizza. That stuff was awesome!

Although I prefer the taste of my homemade pizza over any restaurants, Pizza Hut would be my top choice of all restaurants (and not just because hubby and I both worked there). I rarely order from a cheaper, less quality pizza place, and there are a few places I refuse to order from. So far as toppings go, I don't really like many of them. I prefer to only have 1 topping if any. Most of the time I'll have plain cheese. Sometimes I'll put onion or mushroom, but that's about it. The kids like sausage or onion, hubby likes any kind of meat, and sometimes we'll make a chicken wing pizza, which is to die for.

For us when it comes to Pizza, it has to be Quality. I am very picky most of the time, and if I am going to pay $$ for a Pizza to take home, it had better be Good. My favorite from Pizza Hut lately though is the Stuffed Crust with Sausage, Mushroom and Pineapple, and just thinking about one makes me want one tonight. Pizza is Very Good once in a while for sure.

Yes it's true. If I want to buy for the whole family, I'd surely go for a 13". Now they have the Cheesy Lava 3 stuffed crust pizza, and I will like to have super supreme. With the bigger sizes, you get more toppings and the overall taste is so much better than you would expect from a smaller size. I might also add in some meatballs.

If i have extra money to spare... i would surely pay for the extras... like extra cheese or go for the super supreme... instead of the regular pizzas... but right now... i get to eat at pizza hut for free... since that is part of my part time job... very cool... and i enjoy the free food very much...

I do not like Domino's pizza it is the cheapest pizza in town but the worst tasting. Yes when I can afford it I do pay more for a better tasting pizza. I do love super supreme from pizza hut with pan crust. YUM.

I think I will buy a pizza with the reasonable price. It's expensive to go out to eat pizza here. And usually I make it at home and I am glad to tell you my pizza also tastes so well:) I love China

No, I never pay extra for anything ever. I am terribly tight with money and as the days go on I get worse I think! If I can save money by going cheap then I do. Besides which, I cannot eat pizza anymore much to my disgust, it gives me a really bad tum nowadays so I have to avoid it like the plague or I end up ill for a few days until it is out of my system!

When I order pizza I go for the extras even if it costs a little more. Why try to save a few dollars for something that doesn't taste as good as the more expensive one? I'd rather eat something I liked and pay more for, than something cheaper that tasted cheaper. Like you said, you get what you pay for, quality wise. My husbands always telling me that..haha.

Hi there again beauty queen. I agree that for some things in life when you really want a good thing, you should be ready to invest just a little more to get a lot more quality - pizza is just one of the few things that i agree with :D

hi we generally use to eat pizza very rare, like 1 for month.so when we order 1 for month we will order with many toppings and we will also see the flavour we are getting with that.We order in such a manner that it should sound too good when we eat that pizza later. So we dont think of dollar at that time but we think of the pizza flavour and toppings.we even think of the place we are giving order for, because in some places we dont get good flavoured pizzas. So before giving order we will talk to our friends about that place first and we will give order.

i usually just get di giornio's or frechetta pizza at the store. it's 12 dollars cheaper, and to be honest tastes better than our local pizza which has gone up in price.then i just add whatever onto it at home. the last i ordered out cost $27 for two,and both were burnt.no more.

I don't really like Super Supreme hehe so I guess I'm lucky to be contented with the cheaper flavors. I don't order extra toppings or dips as well because I'm happy with just the plain pizza. I think it's more of the brand than the flavor though. I don't mind paying more for a more delicious pizza. I can't stand bad pizza! Pizza is supposed to be some kind of comfort food. So if it doesn't taste great then I'll be in a bad mood.

I usually dont order pizza and if eating a much better tasting pizza means paying more i would rather just cook my own home made pizza. I can put toppings that i want not to mention that it is healthier since all the ingredients are fresh. I personally pick it and i made the dough myself. I dont only enjoy eating a better tasting pizza and but at I save money at the same time.

I do both. I try to go when the restaurant has a buffet and pay 4.99 or 5.99 for all you can eat. Pizza Hut, Cici's, Mazzio's - there is probably one with a buffet in your area. If a buffet isn't an option, what I do for take out is get a plain cheese, then add whatever I want on it when I get home. Coupons can help too...sometime you get the 'upgrade' at no additional charge. Best option? Go when some one else is buying...lol.
