when turning in these directions? i always do for me not to cause any accidents and for the vehicles at my back gets to be warned that i'll be slowing down turn left or right. i hate most of the cars who are infront of me who doesn't use their signals. they immediately stops when they realize that they have to turn this way or the other way so on my part, i get startled for their actions. this may cause accidents too because they don't use any of their car's warning devices and that is not good at all. how about you? do you use it? happy mylotting and happy posting!

i always use my turning signals when i drive. but i find it really annoying when people use them and forget to turn them off so you're driving behind someone who is "constantly" turning!!! LOL it's annoying but you should always use your turning signals!!

hi cndn420! i get that too. they don't turn their signals off so now you are confused whether to wait and slow down a bit until you find them turning on the direction they left the signal light on but then to your realization they just forgot to turn them off. another experience was when for example they turn on the left signal but happens to be them turning into the other direction! so now you immediately step on the breaks for you not to bump into the vehicle infront of you. that is annoying!

If I do not use my turn signal, I mentally beat myself up over it. I use my turn signal, even when I know that there is no one behind me. What is there to lose by using it, and it only takes half of a second to flip it. I hate when people do not use theirs. I have only been driving since the end of August, and I have lost count on the amount of times that I have had to slam on my brakes because people are switching lanes with no turn signal. I have watched people cross four busy lanes with no turn signal, just to get off on an Exit that they should have been prepared for miles ago. Even if they did not know where it was, there is no excuse to be in the furthest lane from the Exits, and there is definitely no excuse to put other people's lives in danger because of their mistakes. I did not mean for this to turn into a mini-rant, but Mother and I are driven crazy by this. We constantly make sarcastic comments, such as "Nice turn signal," when people don't use theirs.

I do with one exception. FOr this exception, sometimes I do and sometimes not. When I am driving down a road and there is a designated left turn lane or right, if I immediately enter that lane, I do not always put on my signal. If the turn lane is full and backed up into the straight lane, then I usually put my signal on. This exception does not include instances where there is a middle lane for cars to turn either right or left. When there is a middle lane that I am entering, I always put on my blinker. This is primarily so that another person going the opposite way, is aware I'm going in the middle lane so he/she doesn't turn in on me.

oh yes, I do. I think its better that way. And safer. Its useful to tell other drivers where I am heading, so that they can plan their driving better. But then, like your case, some people here just don't use it, and they will suddenly turn or come into your lane, which really really irritates me.

Always, this is a must, it is law in this country you can get heavy fines for not doing it and as you say it can cause accidents, it should be automatic when driving...

this is must in our country and the laws are somewhat tough and you have to adhere to the laws and i use them even when there is no policeman near and it is for my and my family's own safety and as they say"prevention is better then cure" and you just have to move your hand a couple of inches then why should we take the risk. and now it has become my habit and comes naturally to me and it has saved me a few times!

I always do to. I don't want to get rear ended if possible. I also get annoyed with the drivers in front of me that either don't use a signal or wait for the las second. That's just ignorant. If they are lost or from out of state, I do have more patience for those last minute ones, I'm glad they were decent to use it.

I always do, not just because it's the law, but because I'm a safety conscious driver. A lot of accidents can be avoided by alerting others of what we intend to do. Let us all drive carefully!

I always use my left and right signals. I hate it when people are turning or changing lanes and don't use their signals. It causes too many accidents and it's really not that hard to do. I don't understand why people don't do that. Happy lotting.

Hi skbh, I don't drive and even if I am just sitting down, I am also scared by those incidents! There are really drivers who are not careful and very considerate as if they are alone in the streets! ANyway, that is a good attitude and hopefully all the drivers will learn that is is very important to use their signals when they will turn or stop!

being a good driver and safety precautions of my own life and to other people also in the road I always make it sure that I am using the roper signal of the light in which way should I turn to prevent accident and preserve the life that I had......

Always use my indicators...well the only time I dont is if i'm going straight across at a roundabout then I wont usually worry too much. In my opinion to turn off or on a main road you MUST use your indicators...if not your leaving yourself open to possible accidents and mishaps on the road. Roads today are getting busier and busier so the last thing you want is to not inform the drivers around you exactly how you intend to manouvre. After all in the driving exam you will not pass if you dont use them!!! The amount of times i've nearly had an accident on a roundabout though because drivers just can't be bothered to indicate they plan to turn right and go all the way round. When people don't indicate on a roundabout drivers assume their going straight across so we get a bit of a shock when they head straight for us.

Using right and left signal lights is truly a must! This is a way of informing vehicles behind you that you are going to turn either left or right to prevent confusion and accidents. Also! do not forget to buckle up!

I use them. I can't stand it when others don't. It's rude as well as dangerous to others around them. The only time I might not use a turn signal is if I am on a lonely road with no one else around. I will occasionally NOT use it then, because there really is no point, and why make the bulb burn out faster?

Whenever I am staying on the turn left lane, then I really don't, because the cars behind me will always know that I will turn left, so why bother? Otherwise, I do use my left and right blinkies, so the person behind will actually get an idea of where I am heading to... and yes I HATE people who does not use the blinkers if they are in front of me, and yes I HATE dumb drivers... I live in state of georgia (united states) and there are $#it loads of dumb drivers down here and i hate them.... happy posting..

It is second nature for me to use the turn signals. I have seen many people on the highways swirtch lanes quickly without a turn signal being used. I've seen accidents due to the lack of this also. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
