Kind of makes me wonder when i have called you and woke up how many of those conversations you remember. I am good about having conversations with people while i am asleep but i don't think i have ever answered the phone...oh wait i was half asleep texting, does that count??

I was in the middle of texting someone a few months ago during a really bad storm, when i woke up the next morning my phone was open and i had a few freaked out texts because i was responding then stopped and tornadoes and hit my town.

I did this too. The person I was texting forwarded my text back to me and when I woke up and read it, it was like a person with a slurring-text deficiency. It made sense but didn't. It was all wrong spelling and wrong grammar with no subject and verb agreement. Once, I was half asleep and texting and instead of sending my text to my best friend, I sent it to the guy on the text. It was a really funny text about him and I got into a lot of trouble because of that.

My children sleep walk and talk. I have never seen them have phone calls in their sleep. That would be a problem if they called long distance. Cheers!!

I don't remember that I have ever done that, but there are times I wake up and say did that really happen or was I dreaming, and I just don't know which is which.

I have heard of people changing their clothes, going out to buy bread and then coming back to change back to their PJs and going back to bed. According to my granny, she had an uncle that had this habit of sleep walking. So they had to put in a special modification to the door when they all go to bed. The best part of it is, when they discovered him sleep walking, he had his eyes open and was like he was awake. It is when they talk to him and he did not respond that they know he is still sleeping. Due to the danger he poses to himself, they decided to add the modification to the door. For your case, I am quite curious. You actually got up, picked up the phone and held a conversation? Amazing. When they say the mind works in mysterious ways, they are not joking. Imagine, your subconcious taking over your body while your concious mind is totally unaware! Wow!

well the phone is reaching distance from my bed so i just have to reach over.. i only know of me sleep walking once and it was in the middle of the night wanting something to eat when i was little.. i would stay up late since my bro worked night hours and usually snack with him when he got home so it wasnt anything out of the ordinary.. i forgot how he figured out i was asleep though.. whats insane is that i carry on such normal conversations that i dont sound drowsy some times and so they have no clue i am asleep

Oh my gosh! I suffer from the same ailment. When my friends ask afterwards to confirm what we've talked on the phone about and I tell I don't remember, they just laugh. They try to recount our conversation for me but I couldn't remember, some of them believe me, because some of them have seen me in action. They say that when I do this, I don't start any conversations, and if I ask questions, it's always gibberish and when they say "what?" I say "Oh, never mind, what were you saying?"., but I respond to their questions, I laugh, I give protests but always like I'm distracted. A few times, my husband would give me the phone and after realizing that I'm sleep talking he'd apologize for me and tell me afterwards when I wake up then he'll shook his head at me as if saying, "here she goes again, another one of her crazy quirks".

My husband does that on and phone and to people in person. Does it to me all the time. Like you will say his name and hold this big long conversation, he will even get up and get a drink....

I've done that before. Someone will call me early in the morning and say they are on their way or something, I'll say "whatever" and next thing I know they're pounding on my door wondering where I am, since I just talked to them, and I won't remember. I think I was half asleep the other morning when my Dad called, and from what i remember of the conversation he's not picking me up to drive me to the family christmas because he doesn't like the way my name is printed on my return address labels.

I would strongly advise turning your cell-phone off when you go to bed. I would not want to talk with anyone when I was in an unconscious state. Only God knows what I might say, and She isn't telling!

well i turned off my phone but now my stupid home alarm is ringing the phone through the speaker of the alarm (i havent figured out how to do it but it can be used as a speaker phone) so even if mine is turned off i still would hear it.. as far as my cell i cant turn off due to the fact my hubby and every one else contacts me through that.. i sleep during the day so ugh!! my cell phone has a different ring which actually wakes me up so i dont think its happened with it yet

I've never done that. I remember night time phone calls because they annoy me in general. If i dont answer them i dont remember someone calling me. I've never heard of sleep calling either!

That is strange. How do you remember the No of the person dialed? How do you know who you are talking to?

i find out because people will try to continue to talk to me about whatever i was talking to them in my sleep about.. i will have to stop them and ask them what the heck they are talking about and they would tell me we talked all about it that morning on the phone
