Do your kids ever get a case of the "gimmes"?

Today, my daughter got a really bad case of the "gimmes". But it was kind of cute. She kept asking for big stuff. She would say, "Would you buy me a swing?" "Would you buy me a swing and a horse?" "Would you buy me a swing, a horse and a car?" She did this for about five minutes. I don't think she has the first clue what it would be like to own a horse or care for one. But, it was a funny thing to hear. Do your kids ever get into the "gimme" attitude where they ask for stuff you couldn't possibly buy?

My grandson went to the 4-H livestock show at the fair when he was in 1st. grade and came home asking for a PIG! He said it was a size small (it wasn't nearly full grown) and it only cost $9 (it had the number 9 on it). He had it all figured out, it could live on the porch and swim in the canal when it wanted to get wet...and he would walk it on a leash every day. He nagged my step-daughter about it for weeks!

Oh, that's so cute! He has a very vivid imagination to have figured out all the details! Amazing.

hi beauty...when my nephew was little he use to go crazy when he saw a gum machine. my sister gave into him. it got so bad he'd throw a tantrum if he wasn't going to get a gumball. so then my sister would get him one to quiet him. his baby teeth ended up rotting out. she learned a valuable lesson. and wouldn't let him chew regular gum anymore. she went to sugarless. then i remember when i went grocery shopping with my dad, i'd sneak things into the cart when his back was turned. then at the cashier he would say , "how'd that get in there?" hehe. he was good about it. i never really asked for much so i got by with it.
