I want to start a new discussion at mylot that is entirely different and new and brings new ideas. But i always run out of ideas. I always try to think of something which hasn't ever been discussed here or something exciting which happens with me, but either my life has become too boring or my thinking has completely exhausted. Everytime, i think of starting a new discussion, the next day, either the complete idea would skip out of my mind or i would fins a similar discussion already posted over here.. I haven't started a new discussion lately. Most of the time, i would end up discussing about an article or informing about a new site. As a result, I would hardly get any responses. Dows this happen with you too? Do you run out of ideas too. How often do you start a discussion? do you think ur discussion is entirely new? How many responses does ur discussion fetch normally?

Hiya bro. I follow my thoughts at the moment whenever I want to start a discussion on something. It depends on what topics or questions I have in mind and from then on, I will go on and ask. I don't make it a point to post discussions everyday because if I do that, I'll just risk the chances of having discussion burnout. Which I don't want that to happen. I love to answer as many discussions as I can, as long as I'm in mylot. I will try to squeeze in some, if not a lot of time in mylot and engage in discussions, check out what's going on in the today's top, what discussions friends make and I will definitely make it a point to comment back for those discussions that I've created. I think if you want a bit more answers than what you are getting, you should perhaps like try to think of ways to spice up the discussion. Perhaps asking something that you are really wondering and wanting to know. Spread out your discussion interests. For instance, if you post a discussion in a music interest, some members might not notice it. But if you have a broader spectrum and answer from different interest listings, there might be different people whom would answer to your variety of discussions. This is what I roughly think. Hope it helps. Have a nice day, bro .. ;)

Yeah i guess so. Posting a discussion in a less favourite category may lead the discussion to be ignored at times. Anyway, Thanks for ur suggestion !

Hello vipulchawla! Just like you, I also ran out of ideas sometimes. I can't think of a very interesting idea that could really catch the attention of the mylot members. It took me so long to start a new discussion. Sometimes it's 2 - 4 days before I can make a new one. But it really depends. Sometimes the idea would popped - up on my mind and then I'll turn on the computer and make a new trend. I have many discussions who got less response but I have some too who got unremarkably many responses.

Hmm.. I know, it all depends upon when a new idea strikes to ur mind. For me, it has been almost a month since i started a new one. Infact, I have hardly responded over here since the last month. But anyway, ur response marks my return over here. Thanks for responding..

it is also the case with me sometimes as well. I feel numb. but I do not start any unless and until I really want to ask something. so try to concentrate on answering other discussions.

Ha ha a.. I know. But i see you a lot more active here than me. I know, its better to answer to discussions rather than spending time upon thinking to start a new discussion. But i guess, it has become more easy to earn somewhere else.. LOL

Hi there Vipulchawla my friend. I get this problem all the time especially nowadays when i also have so much to do (with Christmas preparations and test studying for my college and all. I often just respond to other discussions instead of wasting time trying to think of a new topic or i just post some pictures to be sure i earn something - that's the best way to make some money when you have no inspiration at all.

Ya!! Responding to discussions is far more better than thinking upon to start a new discussion. But i just wonder what makes people think of a new diea to start over a discussion!

It always happens with me! As i login, i am always involved in responding rather than thinking of starting my own discussion. Moreover, i don't spend that much time here so that i just end up responding to a few discussions..

I should be starting a lot more discussions than I do, I also draw a blank, sit here and go off into space, it's not always easy to get a good discussion started. I think many of is have that problem.

So, I am not the only odd one out!! It does happen with everyone here. Some people i find here start a new discussion everyday, and i just wonder, what makes them think of the topic.

You know what? Even this has been discussed many times here. I also have the same problem when I want to start a discussion, but forcing yourself to start a discussion makes it harder to think. You will not even realize the ideas you might have because forcing makes you blind. For this reason I have not started a discussion for a long time. I usually prefer to respond to the discussions which are started by other mylot members. Have a great mylotting experience. Thanks

Well, thanks for sharing your experience. But if you could look upon the date of starting this discussion, I had started this discussion months ago, and even today, this discussion is alive. So, i think this is a general issue over here, and may have a bad effect on the users as well as the site. Anyway, Happy mylotting to u too!!

Well, Thanks for sharing. My discussion would hardly fetch responses in single digits. And ya, starting a repeated discussion, obviously divides the number of responses between the 2 discussions.
