Wednsday was my wifes 50th birthday. I did nothing special for her due to the economy etc. She was okay with this as well. I did wish her a Happy B-Day many times during the day though. Mostly to rub in her being HALF A CENTURY OLD! She laughed most times. No cake as there is just us 3 in the house, no card, no gifts. Our youngest grandson called her at work asking, Did you get presents, did you get a cake, did you get a card. He was so cute. Then the oldest comes on the phone wishing grandma happy birthday then said Savanna says happy birthday too but it sounds like shge is really crying. Too funny. Well my daughter and both grandsons are coming over Saturday and the boys are making cupcakes for grandmas Birthday. Too cute that he thinks birthdays are just about getting cake, cards, and gifts. Typical kids. Just wanted to share this. What is thew cutest thing said or done by your grandkids(s) or your own kid(s)? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Happy birthday Grandma Deb. Well this is not the cutest thing my grandson has ever said but it was funny. If you've been following my posts you'll know the whole story on how my daughter is so unable to train her dog she'd tried everything. She was so distraught she said, "The only thing I haven't done is give this dog away and that's comming." My grandson said, "But mom we can't get rid of Lacy. She'll learn." My daughter is working with a seven year old so to make it a little eazier to understand she broke it into days rather than months and said, "Look the dog is 5 months old and we've had her 130 days and there's been no improvement, Look at grandmas dog, grandma had her dog potty trained in about 14 days." My daughter said you could just see the child is taking this in and his little mind is thinking and she knew the kid would have an answer. This is what he said, "MOM there's no problem then, because we've already had Lacy for 130 days then it wouldn't take 14 more days, lets just give Grandma the dog for 10 days." Well I hope my dog cn teach this little fur ball some potty manners because We're babysitting Miss Lacy this weekend. It is Thanksgiving here this weekend so because my daughters dog is not trained and she was nervious about taking the dog, I just said I'd babysit. They're off to his folks place about 8 hours away. Take Care and wish me luck.

When my graddaughter stayed one night and I was getting ready for bed. She is being trained and wears a pull up at night. Well I was just getting my nightgown on when she says.....say Grandma....you might want to take off your panties and get yourself a big pullup! I had to leave the room I was laughing so hard! LOL

Kids are wonderful. My grandson told me that I have a squishy face and his Opa has a harder face so I have more wrinkles. Gotta love it.

It's true kids do say the darndest things. And when we get older it seems we dont want to even acknowledge our birthdays yet alone being woo'd with gifts and such. I think it is really sweet that the kids are going to make cupcakes, I am sure she got a kick just out of talking to the kids... Hope she had a great Birthday!!!!

Her B-Day went well. The only thing bugging her was being 50. Half a century. Hahahaha! I rubbed it in too much at times. But she was okay with it not getting mad etc at me. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hey grandpa bob! I think that's so sweet of them! They are so cute! That's what birthdays are to kids, cards, gifts and cake! What the hell, that's what they are to me except I haven't gotten any gifts and today is my birthday! Say happy birthday to you wife to me since we are just 3 days and a few years apart! At least she will get to celebrate with the family on Saturday. I know she will so enjoy seeing the grandkids. That alone is the best gift she could get!

i don't have kids yet... but i had seen my sunday school kids say funny things... they are so naive and innocent and they only say what come out straight from their head... anyway, i love children a lot as they are innocent... they don't lie and make up stories like adults do... take care and have a nice day...

My daughter is almost 2 years old. Last month she went to FL with my parents for 2 weeks. When I picked them up from the airport I was holding her kissing her hugging her squeezing her and every thing else (I missed her LOL) She says to me "GEESSSH MOM"! I stoped all and looked at her I couldn't believe it came out a not even 2 year olds mouth!! Already shes geeshing me LOL! I have a lot to look forward to with her!!

Oh how I wish I could remember all the funny things my kids and or grandkids come up with. I know one time my oldest granddaughter when she was about 3yrs old and if I was playing a video game and it was getting the best of me she would say "Grandma, remember what the doctor said, concentrate". How or why she come up with this I have no idea but it was soooooo funny.

This is something my oldest daughter said when she was about 4y/o and it was on my Dads 50th birthday. She said- WOW Mama, Papa is almost as old as you! Then when my youngets daughter was 3y/o and it was my 25th birthday she put her little arms around me and said -- we don't care if your getting really old Mama we still love you and i'll visit you everyday when you get in the nursing home. I truly don't think that my grandchildren will EVER top my girls.

Tell your wife I said Happy Belated Birthday. My grandkids always asking me for money, I never have any on hand most of the time I have to go to the ATM. One day one of them asked me for some money to go to McDonald's I told him I didn't have any money. He replied, "You have a card". (Meaning go to the ATM.)

What kid doesn't ask for money. I gave my oldest grandson a dollar for like 5 pennies one day. Now he thinks that if he gives me pennies I'll give him dollar bills. NOPE! Not anymore. Hee hee! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

That brings back memories of friends of ours Chevee. This was in the time when most people used checks for everything. Their youngest son one day wanted something and his mom said they didn't have the money right then for it and he said they did too, he got all the cancelled checks that had just come in the mail with their bank statement.

oh my goodness, what doesn't my 3-year old come up with? lol the most recent was the other day. we have been trying to potty train him and he is doing a good job with pooping in the potty, so i always make a big deal when he does that. well, i was cleaning out the cat litter box and scooping all the poop out. he was standing there watching me, and he said, "wow, the kitties do lots of poop, mommy!" so i said that yes, they do. then he said, "those kitties do a very good job of going poopy in the potty!" lol! i just laughed, i thought it was so funny! :)

My granddaughter is only 2 1/2, she wished me Happy Birthtime, and I have it on video. I think she confused birthday with bathtime. She is a cutie.

I don't have kids or grandkids yet although I want both one day. However, I do hang out with my assistant's kids a lot. One thing that my assistant's kid says is, "How she moving?" He doesn't understand my wheelchair, he's only 2. He's very cute.

It wasn't my kid that said this, but my little brother. Most kids, when in trouble will blame Satan for their bad deeds... "The Devil made me do it." Well, when Scott was about 3, he was in BIG trouble. I don't remember what he did, but it was a doozy. Mom was just about ready to rip him a new one, when he announced..."But, Jesus said I could." How can you argue with that? I don't think he ever did get punished. LOL!
