My "rating" is going down? Dopeople hate me?

Here is what I think - you ask honest questions, give thoughtful and honest replies. Of course you offend people. So do I. My answer? So what! Honestly, life is not a popularity contest it is in fact something far different. It would be lovely if everyone liked us all the time. But if they did than I assure you that you are doing something very wrong; either lying to yourself or to them. The real truth is that every single minute that we are on this earth we are bound to offend someone. It isn't our fault or theirs really. It is simply the way life works. Now I suspect if you could actually see who was bouncing those little ole negative ratings around they wouldn't do it so freely. Know why? Because they wouldn't want to acknowledge that they were being "ugly". But under the cover of darkness, when they know that it can be done with complete confidence that no one will know....well that is a different story all together - minus signs all around. Sorta the same reasoning for why the Klan wears sheets.

I do not know what it means exactly but I think it reflects on how people rate you. I am sure someone out there knows better.

Hi, friend! From what I know, you must have received several negative ratings from myLot users. You may have started a discussion or made a comment that offended them. This does not affect your earnings and you're not in trouble with myLot. It just affects your star rating or reputation among the members here. My opinion is that if you want to get a consistently high rating, then sway away from controversial topics or those that will trigger you (or others) to give a strong discussion or response. If you believe that expressing your opinion counts more, then go ahead. Your earnings are not affected, anyway. Happy myLotting!

I don't think it means anything. But just to be on the safe side, I rated you positive on pretty much all the topics I could find with you in it, ha ha ha!

Well, it means taht someone has been rating your responses down, but you don't need to worry much. The ratings on Mylot go up and down all the time. If you put effort into your responses and discussions, and you stay within the guidelines, there is no reason to worry over it. If you got into an argument with someone recently, it's probably the most likely cause, as people have a tendency to choose sides. It might lower earnings, though, so try to keep out of trouble if you're worried about that.

Now I finally see the plus signs!! I didn't know what they were for. I have only been here a week so I guess I am not that slow on the uptake. LOL
