Rappers-turned-actors

Thinking of the many rap artists that have crossed over to acting, who do you admire the most? For example: Queen Latifah, TuP{ac, Ice Cube, Ice-T, L L Cool J, Mos Def, DMX, Nas, Will Smith, Mark Wahlberg, Ludacris, and others. How would you rank them? Which talent of theirs is better - acting or rapping? Who is your favorite? Who should have stuck to rapping? Who ought to give rapping up?

I admire Tupac, Ludacris, Ice T, and Mark Wahlberg.I never heard any of their music but I have seen their films. Each has his own style but they are coming from a place that is real. I am so sorry we lost Tupac, I believe he would have been a huge movie star.

rappers dont turn into actors. name five who have made the transition back and forth smoothly. most music artist who go into the music business love their contracts or drop off the face of the earth. ie... ja rule

I would have to say pretty much everyone on that list except for mark wahlberg will smith and queen latifa even though I never knew she was a rapper but for somereason that dosnt surperise me. The artist you have mentioned have made horrible movies which got bashed by the critics so they should stick to what there best at.
