Went to Sear's the other evening and they had some nice short pajamas.

My husband is bugging me about what he can give me for my birthday. I couldn't think of one thing I wanted. We were walking for exercise at the mall and he wanted to look for a tool in the Sears store. I went to the lingerie section and they had satin-looking, light sage green, short pajamas. The top buttoned down the front with satin-covered buttons and it was sleeveless. The bottoms were boxer short style and also green and satin-looking. They were gorgeous and under $15. I love lounging around in pjs like those. My husband came over to where I was and said, "let's get those for you." So we did. They were $11.99!! Do you ever go shopping in Sears and find a good deal? If not, where do you find the best deals?

Hey Pearl, Oooooo they sound really cute! Nice buy! I haven't been to Sears in a long time! The one near me is not that great for clothes. I very rarely go there. I like target and my favorite Walmart because I am a bargain shopper. I look for the best deals and yes the cheapest too. I also shop at Kmart once in awhile. But, Walmart and Target are right across the street from each other and they are in White Plains which is the next city from Yonkers and that's where I like to go shopping. There's lot's of stores there and everything is close together so if you don't have a car it's easy to walk from store to store. In fact me and bf are going there tomorrow to get me some sweat pants and jeans before the weather starts getting any colder. Your buying short pj's and I need sweat pants to wear to bed!

Opal, I know you are the biggest shopper ever! I always love to share my bargain-hunting with you. Target is great and I end up going to Walmart every 2 or 3 weeks for something. The arrangement of your stores all in one location sounds pretty convenient. Sweat pants to bed? Now that's cold, girl! Yeah, my air conditioning is going, my ceiling fan is generating a nice breeze right at this moment. I have on my "flip flop, sleeveless dress", it's a short, lime green, a-line dress that has flip flops all the way around the hem edge. And I'm barefoot, too! Isn't weather crazy? It's about 85 degrees outdoors. We took a nice long walk this a.m. Enjoy your shopping and don't forget to share what you buy!

My birthday is coming up but my husband is clueless when it comes to picking up hints. Yesterday I told him outright that I wanted Brad Paisley's new CD. I know I've mentioned it before but I literally had to tell him to get it for me for my birthday. If he paid much attention he would think to get me something special like tickets to see "Jersey Boys" in Toronto. But he doesn't pick up on stuff like that, probably because he doesn't listen to me or if he does he forgets it pretty quickly. I have to tell my children what to tell him, or tell him myself. No surprises that way. I love jammies. I love getting new ones even if I don't need them. When he can think of nothing else, he will get me jammies. I'm okay with that but it would be nice if he would get original once in awhile. Geez, I can buy my own jammies for goodness sakes!

Yeah, some husbands do turn off their listening skills when their wives are talking. But I guess some wives do that with their husbands. Anyway, I think it's great that you told him exactly what you wanted. HOpe he gets you that Brad Paisley CD. Jersey Boys would be a fun time. That was playing in Las Vegas when we were out there and people coming out of the theater into the casino (I think it was at the MGM Grand but I'm not sure), looked like they had the best time ever! Thanks for the birthday wish. And hugs back to you too! Take care.

I don't normally shop at Sears, but I have gone in there several times when I used to live by my brother because I worked really close to a Sears and he did not. He would ask my to stop in and grab him a new pair of jeans once in awhile. I got a few really cheap things on clearance there. I got some Khaki's for my son once for $1.74 a pair. I also got him several fleece jackets for the same price. I had a field day that time. I got him 5 pairs of pants and 5 fleece jackets for just over $20 with tax.

I typically do not shop at Sears but when we walk at the mall, we tend to walk through the "big" stores as well as some of the smaller shops. I just couldn't believe the price of those pjs and their quality. I haven't worn them yet but I'll just wear them for lounging after a hard day. Wow, the deals you got in Sears were incredible! That's wonderful. When kids are small, it can be pretty expensive to keep them in decent clothing. Good for you. Great buys.

Sears is one of our popular department stores here in the US. It used to be called "Sears and Roebucks". Why they dropped the "and Roebucks," I don't know. They are not expensive like Macy's and Saks Fifth Avenue, but they have decent quality clothing and shoes. It's so much fun to get a bargain, isn't it? Thanks for the birthday wishes. My birthday is tomorrow (Monday). Huggles to you also!

Well that sounds like a good deal and a good birthday present. The sear's in my town is small, they only sell appliances, electronics and tools, nothing else. So the only place I can usually find bargains is at JcPenney, and I don't have to drive 35 miles to get there, its only about 12 miles from my house, in the next town. I'm glad because that means I don't have to drive into the city. I can usually get good deals there, they are always having sales.

It sure was a great deal. Sorry to hear your Sears doesn't have clothing. Bummer. Yes, JC Penney is good also although I don't go there too much. I do actually do some Christmas shopping at Penneys. Good luck with getting some deals.

Yeah, Penney's is the only place that I can find clothes that fit right. Like jeans, I can't find anything that fits right like at walmart, I always have to go somewhere else, jeans are hard to find, they are either too short or too long, never in between..lol.

Sears has really great deals sometimes if you are willing to shop on the clearance racks, last week I also found some great deals at JC Penney. I found a $54 jacket on clearance for $7. It was awesome!

Hello. Wow, your JC Penney deal is very impressive! Good for you, hope you really enjoy that jacket. Now that was a real find. I wasn't even really "shopping", I was just "looking". I couldn't believe how inexpensive those pajamas were.

I do find some good deals at Sears. Although, I have not been shopping, because of our financial state.

Glad to hear you've gotten some good deals at Sears. Right now, all their stuff is really marked down. I saw a very nice black suit with black slacks and a classic styled black blazer for about 70 bucks. It was gorgeous but they didn't have it in my size.

My brother gave me a Sears card for X-mas. They had pillows and a carrying bag for the amount on the card. I only had to pay tax. He needs bed linens. So for his birthday, I gave them to him. I drew on and labeled them with his name. There were nice soft flannel for this winter.\ Those sound wonderful. My husband now hates satin. He tried to just flop down on the bed, he slid off! He blames the satin sheets. But I bet he would love those pajamies on me. Take care.

I used to love flannel sheets when we lived up north. Now, we don't ever use them because it never gets cool enough down here. I think satin sheets are absolutely luxurious but my husband doesn't like them either. The pjs are definitely nice.
