I was wondering if ya like poetry? Do you ever write poetry? Do you have a favorite style or type? Who is your favorite poet?
I am just wondering...I am a lover of poetry and writer!

I write poetry all the time! Some of it is serious, some of it is depressing, some of it is heart-warming, and some of it is just silly! :) I probably should have been sharing my poetry here, instead of in "Writing", but, I only just NOW found that there is a "Poetry" section! Somehow, I just stumbled into it! *LOL* But, yeah, I LOVE to write poetry! :)

Ahhhhhhhh, this section is actually called "Writer". I was mistaken! *LOL* I get confused here in myLot sometimes! *LOL* :-)

Hi!
I love poetry so much...I wanna make it my profession..I'll be a starving poet 4 a while till I hope break into this field on a bigger level..I also write bout all kinds of stuff..Like sad,funny, poetry..Lately I have been writing bout a guy, I have loved 4 25 years off and on..and all the "non-luck" we have had by not being able to be 2gether for various reasons thru-out the years!
Any way..I love all poetry...
I am in the midst of writing a book filled with it!

there once was a man from nantucket..... no don't go there! you are my love you are my dove, you are my chickadee, i know if you look closely dear i'm sure you will agree, that in this life, i love my wife and there's no one else for she. the love we have together knows absolutely no bound, and each day we say i love you, no matter who's around. ..... okay finish it if you like. lets make a world written peom. cummon have a go

And sometimes we do not have to make a sound..Our love is eternal..And means more to me then a King with his Crown..It means more to me then the entire town...
And she is my treasure my treasure that I found....
Who is next? Great idea...To add on and make a world poem!

I can write poetry, but I'm not a fan of it. I hate haiku. I do love a good limerick!

most of the time, i don't follow any style or type. i just write what i feel at that time. most of the work i wrote are emo. it seems to be that when i am depressed, i tend to write poetry. one of my work:
i paint a line across
her throat with red ink.
i stared at her and watch
waiting for her soul to be free.
her eyes became lifeless
like those of a doll.
i had finally set her
free.

I love poetry. I used to write poetry, but I stopped. I stopped. I like the works of Edgar Allan Poe, poetry or not. I like his style.
Poetry gives me something to be fond of. It's like having a little secret all to yourself, and even if you lay it out in the open nobody will decipher it unless they know you well enough to know that you mean by every verse.

I do enjoy both reading and writing poetry and have since I was a kid actually...I stopped writing anything for yrs but have slowly gotten back into it over the past yr or so and more so since I got my laptop recently. As far as having a favourite poet...I dont think I do have one actually, I mean there are so many great ones out there both modern and classic..

Hi there! I like poetry too. Although I don't have any favorite poem. I like Robert Frost. I write my own poems. Sometimes I contribute to our schools journal on their poetry section. Happy posting!!
