Fresh Pork Tastes Better...

My parents just had some hogs butchered, so they gave me some fresh pork meat. I have sausage, bacon, pork steaks, pork chops, and spare ribs. I've been eating trying something different every day this past week. Man, fresh pork just tastes so much better than the processed pork you buy in the grocery store. What is your opinion, would you rather have fresh pork or buy it in the store?

I have never had it. We usually go to the grocery store. But fresher usually tastes better. I think I would get burned out if I ate it everyday in a week. Sounds like you are enjoying it though.

I have looked alot of recipes up on the internet. I've tried alot of them out and they have been very delicious. Thanks for the comment!

As long as I do not have to do the butchering myself I would pick fresh pork. My parents used to go in with another couple and get a side of beef when I was a kid, but they never did the hog. I think I would have preferred the hog. I am jealous. I bet that pork is really good.

Yeah, my parents also got some beef too. They sent me back a little bit of fresh ground beef. Thanks for the comment!
