Well, there probably is going to be money in it, truthfully! You might have to change internet service providers, if you have AOL, especially. Or, you might have a virus, which you can probably get rid of for free with the right programs. If your computer itself is slow, you can get rid of things cluttering your hard drive.

Sometimes just using a different browser will make a difference. For instance, I find that the Mozilla Firefox browser and the Opera browser allow me to surf a lot faster than the AOL or just the original Internet Explorer browsers that come with my computer. I downloaded both the Firefox and the Opera browsers for free. Another thing that might help is to clear out your cache frequently. Most people suggest clearing it once a month. But as much as I surf, I find it helps to clear it at least once a week, and sometimes even once a day. I hope that you or someone else may find some of this information helpful. Have a great day!

There are a lot of internet connection booster softwares in the market today. Sad to say they are not free but I think you can have a free 30 day trial just like other softwares. I've been using TZ Connection Booster for the longest time now. So far it has helped me boost my internet connection, I've also used Speed Up My PC to clear all the other unnecessary files in my hard drive, it also helps in clearing the memory your computer is using. I am also using Supercleaner which clears the cache, temporary file folders, browsing history and some other dump files which can affect the internet speed of my computer.

You can't expect speeds greater than the maximum allocated bandwidth. Clear your browser cookies and temporary files at regular intervals. I would recommend Firefox as I've experienced faster loading compared to IE. There's a software called Tune Up Utilities. Its free version is available for download. Using the program tweak your cache and other settings for an improved performance. Scan your PC regularly for virus and spywares and maintain it in good condition.
