I love and enjoy mylot very much, but sometimes I get kind of annoyed with all the notification e-mails because I have the notify me option on so will know when my friends here have started a new discussion and my email fills up so fast and clutters up my e-mails box, today I had 50ty e-mails in my box today, and anyway, I was just wondering if any of you ever get annoyed with all the notifications e-mails and do you ever consider turning some of them off?

No, I never think of turning it off, I've got Gmail, you can fill it up to no end! I get very few of these notifications and what annoys me is when the discussion is pointless!

Well some times it do happen. I feel its for your good as you know who has started the topic and so on. You need to take it and if you are not interested in certain topics just discard the mails. However mylot is paying you and atleast you need to bear this much to earn money on the net.

I had them off except for notifications about discussions that I've started or responded to. It really is annoying to get a lot of e-mails and worse if they are really not that important. For me I just look at the side and it is ok for me to see what my friends here are doing.

Hi there apples99 There was one friend that I did once turn off the notification to as he wrote so many discussions and they weren't one's that I would reply to as they were always on the same subject. I have got all my friends turned on to notify me and what I do is go through them and if it is not a discussion I would respond I simply delete the email. When I am not busy commenting to people's responses to my discussions I have always got a discussion I can join in with!

Ya of course. Actually my internet speed is very low and my system configuration is also too bad. So if I open the mail box, it will just take 2 minutes to read every mail. Just imagine how long will it take if I turn on those notifications. I have 200+ friends in my lists. Some of my friends are just starting some 10+ discussions everyday. Their target is to start as many discussions as possible. Lol. In that case, my mail box will get full for every second. Lol. So the notification is off for everyone. I have only one notification on. If I respond to a discussion and if I get any comments for that, then I will be notified about the comment in mail. I feel that its necessary and have it on. Lol. Happy mylotting.

Yes your right its best to have some of them on goodness I could only imagine the amount of notification e-mails you would get if you turned every single one on. anyway, thanks for responding.

No, I don't get annoyed with email notifications. That is hwo I knwo my friends have started a new discussion. I enjoy gettingthem. If I have them off and don't get them I may miss something important. I also can scan through the ones I like an answer them if they have alot of them at once. I also can tell if the person I am connected with is posting things I like and peek my interest. If not I disconnect from them after awhile.

I turned the notifications off for all and went to the my friend list, and just put on three or four. I found that not only do I get the notifications from my friends, and the other myLotters, but also from my enemies, that is those who attack anyone with my point of view. So if you are a Christian, you will have the atheists attack, and if you love dogs, the cat lovers will hate you, etc. So it is easier to keep it off because I can always go to the home page, besides I can pick and choose those who I really want to hear from.

hi! I'm on notify on too, but I only get annoyed if the discussion irks me. I do feel like turning off notifications sometimes when repeated discussions started seem irrelevant like when it gives me the feeling that the discussion was started just for the sake of posting and getting earnings for it..Anyway, its still alright I guess, I just don't let it bother me that much..

I have all of mine off. I'm not here to be reminded that I should respond to a discussion just because they are on my friend's list. I can choose topics that I wish to respond to, like this one, without an email telling me to do so. I get enough junk, spam, fowards and jokes from friends and family as it is. I certainly don't need to be buried in more email. I think I'm perfectly capable of finding what interests me and commenting on it.

hey, i only get annoyed of one thing here which is, the disrespect toward each other! i have just responded to a discussion related to religion, and the whole discussion is grouped mostly by people who have lack of self-respect toward each other! i felt really pissed off :( people shuld respect each other no matter the religion's background might be!
