Is The Bail-Out Unconstitutional?

United States

first of all...im not happy with the bail out being passed, but that is neither here nor there now is it? ive heard ppl say that it is in the "best" interest for the countries economy so therefore it IS upholding the constitution. ive also heard that it is unconstitutional because of somewhere it saying that the senate cannot write a tax bill. now im not sure about that part..does anybody know or give me a link? this whole situation has also been compared to the soviet union pre-collapse. in your honest and thoughtful opinion, do you think that the good old U S of A is on the path of Socialism and therefore just a hop skip and a jump from Communism?

Personally I feel its a final scam by bush and his cohorts to rob the USa tax payer and line the pockets of the already croocked rich his friends. If it was a check direstly to the people each and evryone an even amount I might understand. But I think the small guy will never see a red cent. This will only make things worse in the long run. As far as the govrnmt owning buying stock it sure makes themunbias...I thought years back there was a law to prevent jail inmate labor other than liscense plates and now look at the way they are using people who ought to be in treatment centers to work and in the state of texas the number one traded stock is for prisions private owned. They need to take the profit out of being in jail or they will only keep creating criminals. Bla bla bla this is more reason to get me ranting the whole sytem stinks and will get better before worse. Peace there is no money in peice...where they have no problems they will create them. Whats up they parraied around when the wall between west and east germany was torn dowwn and now nasa is building another between Mexico and the USA...The only point is to keep mexicans as slave labor for the foreign owned factories on the Mexican side. The cycle will never end as long as there are borders and people who have no compasion. Thanks 4 the chance to vent great post and keep ytou individualism and dont get blindsided by the lies or lack of true! :)

I think they may have meant NSA. But honestly, the bigger the wall the better, and put the national guard on it.

I can't answer the constitutional question and I don't know about communism, but I do think that there are many who want us to be more like Europe and most of it is socialist. I don't understand why they want us to go that way because Europe is in worse shape than we are, so why anyone would want to follow their path is beyond me.

I personally don't think they should have bailed them out...or if they were going to why not bail out all the company's that have gotten in trouble or had to close down. By bailing them out, they are saying that it is ok and they haven't learned anything...except how to steal money. ~~IN SEARCH OF PEACE WITHIN~~ **AGAINST THE STORMS, I WILL STAND STRONG**

Big biz messes up and we jump to bail them out. Reagan did the same thing in the 80's with the mortgage industry. It was a huge scandal then and pretty much sent the US into steep debt and wrecked the economy for the 1990's. That was the end of the big spender glory days!
