I force myself to eat porridge with meat when I have fever and drink a lot of water and fruit juices. I could not eat well when I have fever, because the tastes of foods are bitter. I take a lot of rest.

When I fell ill, I don't like eating any cooked foods. I prefer to eat any kind of fruits, drink plenty of water and relaxed, then I will be well the next day. I just love to eat fruits and I love to drink water more than any drinks. But even I do so, I am not a healthy type of a person. There's just always something with my body's health.

When my family or my self is ill we like home made chicken soup. It has been proven that chicken soup has many of its ingredients that helped stop the movement of neutrophils -- white blood cells that eat up bacteria and cellular debris and which are released in great numbers by viral infections like colds. Not only is it helpful for fighting the flu and colds it is so good. http://archives.cnn.com/2000/HEALTH/diet.fitness/10/17/chicken.soup.reut/

I normally take rice gruel or rice mixed with rasam. But today, more than ever, we're aware of the healing power of food to enhance immunity and aid in recovering from illness. Of course, proper nutrition is necessary for maintaining good health. But when your body battles symptoms for days or even weeks, your diet becomes even more essential in helping you achieve a speedy recovery. It's critical that necessary vitamins and minerals be included in your daily diet to help you build your strength.

Hello rkrish Normally whenever I fall ill whether it is cold fever or any type of illness it is obvious that normal food habit is being suffered. During my cold fever I usually take light food like loaf or chappati with milk. I also take lots of fruit during my illness as fruits are having nutrients . pkc3000

if i do get ill then i will appreciate if someone makes me rice as i don't like bread that often and yes i like sandwich with chicken spread but at that time i will only prefer rice and if the doctor doesn't permit this and i will ask him what can i eat and excluding bread will eat others.my aunt will surely give me a boiled egg in that case lol.

I eat anything, haha. I eat the normal foods because I will feel more sick if I will not eat the normal foods that my mom cooks. But I try to drink a lot of fruit juices especially citrus ones.

Most of the time we eat porridge. Since it's liquid, so we won't have a big problem to digest. It will help us to recover. I love China

I love to have chicken noodle soup, or just chicken broth. Usually a cup of tea to settle my stomach. I like things with lots of aroma since I usually can't taste that well when I am sick, so I like to at least be able to smell the food.

My mom always makes me some soup when I'm sick. She thinks that "soft" food will help me get better. It's also easier to eat. Sometimes we also have porridge. I don't like porridge at all but when I'm sick it tastes good to me. :)
