Laundry Mat or Laundry at home

I loathed lugging bags and bags of laundry to the laundry mat. I would do it once a week. With 4 kids I had a lot of dirty stuff.
I was in heaven when I got a new washer and dryer! Heaven, I'm in heaven!

I did use the clothesline a lot to dry my clothes. Even though I had a dryer I still needed to cut corners somehow. I did use the dryer to fluff the clothes up and get that crispness out of them, especially jeans. They tend to dry hard!

That won't be fun for you to have to lug dirty clothes to the laundry mat. I hated spending so much time waiting for the wash to finish then waiting for the clothes to dry.
I brought knitting or crochet work with me to keep my hands busy. There was a television in the laundry I went to so I could watch a program or two.
I didn't want to touch the magazines that had been touched by too many dirty fingers. Gross

haveing a washer and dryer is definately a good investment. plus it saves money. i love my new wahser and dryer - it's an energy and water saving one. i consider both a necessity right up there with having a stove.

Wow, I forgot about the quarters. The washers and dryers really ate them up. Especially the dryers, it seemed that one always took more time than another.

I am so spoiled by having my own washer and dryer at home. If I had to go to a laundry mat now I would be like a fish out of water. Maybe I would send my husband!
