I had a Paul Newman weekend. I had pasta with Newman's own pasta sauce Saturday night and then I saw TCM's tribute to Paul Newman. They started at 6am and ended 4am! I stared at 10am by finally seeing Torn Curtain. It was okay but not a great pairing of Hitchcock at and Newman. Then they aired Exodus, Sweet Bird Of Youth,Hud,Somebody Up There Likes Me,Cool Hand Luke and Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.It was great to see all these films but I was sad because of the reason.I finally got to see cool Hand Luke too. What a fine film. and it is one of those films I wouldn't seen normally.I am glad I saw it. Tonight, after having another helping of Newman's Own, I going to see my two alltime favs, The Hustler and Absence of Malice. Is there a Paul Newman film you have always wanted to see but haven't?

It was bittersweet. I wish it could have been just a Paul Newman film festival and not a tribute film festival. It was so great to see films and nothing but films but I hated the reason.
