In my life, God/self realization is on the top of my list of priorities of my life's accomplishments. Religion is not important to me at all. I don't belong to any organized religion, as I don't believe they help anyone to truly understand true spiritual knowledge. Religions, for the most part, are just organized businesses with leaders who are good at manipulating and charming people at giving them power and money, in the name of Jesus, and/or God. I was raised a Catholic, myself. When I was very, very young, I was already "talking" to God, even before I could understand much about the Catholic religion. I did want to become a nun later on, thinking that by doing so, I may be able to understand and love God a little more. However, as a Catholic, there were many things I was unable to understand that all those catechism classes could ever help me with. I believe organized religions are too restrictive and controling. So I abandoned my Catholic roots and began my spiritual quest, not allowing anyone or any religion to set any bounderies or restrictions on me, or my search, and questions. All humans have that right to ask questions, to be inquisitive about their own true spiritual nature, as well as God's nature. What I now know, is that these answers are within us, we just need that faith to know this. We need faith in our own selves, especially, that we can find these answers by our own endeavors. We don't need anyone telling us we cannot do this.

I appreciate your understanding, experiences and concept about realization of God and of your true spiritual nature. I do also believe that organized religions are becoming more restrictive and too much controlling in the matter of guiding for spiritual realization.Religion is a way,or at least should be a way,to raise the consciousness of human beings to the level of God consciousness and to the human mind to the level of divine intelligence or universal cosmic consciousness.A religion worthy of the name should be of real practical value.I have recently started a blog for sharing views and understanding life and its relation with God.Its link is http://knowyourself.blog.co.in/ You are welcome to visit the site and give your insightful comments and views. Thanks.

The concept of God and spiritual essence of life is most important for everybody's life.Life remains fruitless and incomplete unless we understand and realize our own true identity and our relation with Almighty God.Religions greatly help guide in the path of spiritual awakening and find true meaning of life. I have recently started one blog to share my own spiritual experiences and realizations with others, and have added few articles on this subject. The blog site is http://knowyouself.blog.co.in/ You are welcome to visit the site and give your insightful comments and advice. While I really did not have much of a religious background I do think of God as my strength and my confidant. I was raised in the Episcopal church but I was always interested in the different views people had about God or a Supreme Being or even why people believe there is no God. The wide differences of people's beliefs has always made me ask questions.

Well I accepted God into my life not only accepted God and also beliving that their is a God. Well I was a roman chatholic before and went to see God in another religion. That is the time when changes came to my life. My faith now is stronger and I have no fears. Have a nice day! God be with you!

God is difficult to grasp. Hence, the need for religion. Religion is like the road one has to take in order to get to the point when God is reachable. Some people don't seem to need religion to take them closer to God. These are the lucky ones. Religion often gets in the way of reaching God because religion is run by men and men tend to become drunk with power when power is given to them. Cheers!!

It is the reason I exist. Whatever I do....where ever I go....my purpose is to fulfill what God has intended me to do. I am not a church going, Bible banging person. But I live my life for him and I am an instrument for His use.
