Wrestling....FAKE OR NOT?

Many people, including my close friends, pass off wrestling as fake. I love watching WWE wrestlers fight around in the ring and I find that it cannot be entirely fake. This can be seen from instances when wrestling stars jump on each other from ladders and many others..... What do you think? Is wrestling fake or real?

it is not really something I enjoy watching myself bigfatboy but there is definitely a tremendous amount of fitness and skill involved for these wrestlers. Sure there is a massive amount of staged choreography and dialogue and even the outcomes are predtermined as well; but these wrestlers are athletes and they do end up hurt a LOT. So in the sense of the moves, punches and kicks etc being the real deal, of course it's not! But there are many aspects of WWE that are not fake either.

Its fake well more then 90 percent of wrestling is fake even though a lot of moves they do still hurt a hell of a lot. Which is why they get injured and there injuries are worse then a lot of pro sports injuries. But for the most part espically the storylines its fake even though sometimes theyll add something that really happend to a wrestler like making fun of jeff hardys house burning down.

hi bigfatboy. the question that you have asked is a common one and its answer is as simple as cutting butter with a knife.Wrestling is fake and everything there is just planned. All the wrestlers are trained how to fall and how to hit the other one so that there are no injuries to other, they just pretend to fight but really they are just acting. And the outcome of the fight is also planned and if you say then why do wrestlers get injured my answer is thats because sometimes the things get wrong and they get hurt in the simplest of stunts.Overall its just an entertainment medium nothing real.

Well i wouldn´t call it fake. Wrestling is scripted just like a normal tv-show and the wrestlers are the actors and they need to follow a story-line and so on. They have to make it to look so real for the audience. But people realise that and just enjoy the show. So the answer to your question yes is fake

if your talking about the moves and the pain that goes with it, it's real. hell, many wrestlers have experienced bumps or accidents like what happened to stone cold steve austin. during a match with the late owen hart, owen made a mistake by botching a piledriver. that move cost austin half of his wwe career. but if your talking about the rivalries, gimicks, then they're all fake. i even read in a fansite during the rivalry of the brothers of destruction vs MVP and Mr. Kennedy. After the match, a fan saw mr. kennedy, kane and taker laughing together backstage.

The moves are real ... but it's like their actors they have to remember what to say and they have a script how do you think the shows ends at the time it says on tv

like James said..parts are fake, well not so much fake as in scripted and setup to end a specific way. i used to date a wrestler, and the things they do are carefully worked out because they really can get seriously injured if they dont perform the maneuver properly. in fact the guy i dated ended up with a serious neck injury the ended is potential career due to the guy he was wrestling misplacing his arm during the "throw" so that my guy landed wrong. they certainly have to be physically fit. if not there is even more of a risk and a far better chance of being seriously injured in the ring. besides all that..if you enjoy it, then watch it. it IS a form of entertainment, and if it entertains you then its doing its job.
