Krispy Kreme in the Philippines

Krispy Kreme has been in the Philippines for quite some time now. I've always loved the glazed donuts when I was in Tornoto so I was really happy that the franchise is now here. Whenever I buy a box, I notice that many Filipinos just go to the store for the free donuts then leave without buying anything. I think this kind of attitude is fine, but is it also like this in the States?

I have to say that for first timers, Krispy Kreme is indeed yummier compared to go nuts, dunkin and mister do nuts. But nothing beats the moderate sweetness of Dunkin. I have been to their do nuts where they offer free donut glaze whenever the krispy kreme lights is on. But that's part of marketing I believe.

When i was still working abroad... i worked in a small air terminal... and the place do not have any donuts... so pilots would always bring me a box of Krispy Kreme... which i share with my co-workers... and when i saw that it is available in the Philippines... i was quite excited because i certainly miss the taste... i just hope that a store will open in my province... so that i don't need to go to Manila just to buy a box...

Aww that's too bad! At least Manila is closer than having to go to another country right? But Krispy Kreme is still yummy even when it's not fresh and warm. :)

My hubby likes their original glazed, sometimes he would drive to green hills just to have a fix, tome it is so sweet, specially when it is cold. My hubby likes it warm and when it is warm it is tastier and you can taste that there are more eggs on it that flour. and for the free ones, I wonder why is it always tastier?

I have not tasted Krispy Kremes from US, but I hope they are just the same. Anyways, I have heard that it's not really the number do nut there. :D

Yeah KK is the number one donut in the States. It's like what Dunkin and Mister Donut are in the Philippines. It tastes the same if I remember correctly. :)
