Do they have free movie night in your area?

In our city, they have free movie nights during the summer. It's called, Movie in the park. They're really fun. You bring a blanket or lawn chairs and watch a movie outside at a community park area. Usually they show brand new movies, like the ones you would find in theaters, but they're free. Wish they did something like that during fall, cause it's still warm in our area. Do they have a free movie night in your area?

They do not have a free movie night here where I live, but they do have a free concert in the park series during the summer Like you said, it's bring a blanket, or a chair, and enjoy a free show. It's very popular here. A movie would be lots of fun though too

Inflatable Movie Screen - These are cheap and convenient as well.
Yes we have them as qwell in the warm weather months. They use the inflatable screens which are easy and fast to set up and tear down. We also have free concerts around us. I have gone to many of these free movies at a park near my wifes work in the past. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I think they do the free concerts too. Haven't taken my daughter to any of those yet. She's still at the stage where loud music scares her. Maybe next year! Thanks for your comments.

Back home I have done this before, yes. And it is certainly a lot of fun! They used to screen movies every now and then in a park next to the city and they would show old classics like Casablanca and Gone with the wind etc. I only went the one time and the movie was Grease from memory. I have no idea if they still do this as I haven;t been home in a long time; but it was pretty popular so I am sure they still do.

Yes they do. We have an 18 screen movie theatre at the local mall. Over the summer we have the Family movie Festival. It's not at night though. Its Wednesday and Thursday mornings. 10 am to be specific. The offer G rated moves as well as some PG. It is a nice idea.

That's pretty cool! Our park district does swim-ins at the pool where you sit in the pool and they project the movie on the wall. It's not free but it's only the cost of pool admission. Once in a while the school district does a family movie night. Not sure if that's free. Where I used to live the local theater (was a large chain) did free children's movie matinees during the spring and fall. Those were pretty awesome. I took my kids to those whenever possible.

I don't think we have that here, but it wounds like it would be a lot of fun. I hope they start up something like that in our area. It sounds like a drive in movie without the cars... more like a walk-in movie. Might be hard to make out with the husband with no car surrounding us. Maybe, if they start that up here, we'll have to bring a tent!

Clever! Privacy and fun. What more could a gal ask for on a date with her honey.

We don't have anything like that here, or at least if we do, I've never heard anything about it. I read the newspaper almost everyday, so I would think I would have seen a mention of it somewhere if they did it.

We dont have anything like that here wish we did. In a town over they have have Music in the park but it is on Thursday nights from what I understand so not for us as Hubby gets up at 4-5 to go to work. I sure do wish they had free movies here. We do have a Drive-in next time over which we do go to but free would be so much better!

No but I wish they did! It has been ages since I have seen a movie in a theater! My husband and I went to the movies often before our son was born and when we were dating! In the last three years I think I could count the number of times I've been in a theater on one hand! I sure do miss going but my son's therapy is much more important!! ~Heavens~

They're so much fun! But in our area things do get super hot in the summer. Nights are cooler and that's when they hold the movie. Very nice to be outside in the cool evening.

Hello beauty queen. It is so nice to have this kind of free movie in the city, but here in China, it is usually in villages in the country for farmers to have some recreational activities. In cities, there are some very big TV screens on the wall of some buildings or malls. There is a very big one in my town. Good day.

Yes, we have a family outdoor movie night every week or so in the summer time. It's hosted by the local cable company and they project the movie on a big inflatable thing. xD But I've never been to one, because I live a little far from where they do it. xD

The park district does sponsor 2 movies in the park a year. They are usually family type movies. We have yet to go to one though. I always forget. I am sure it is really nice because the beach is in the back ground.

I wish they did! How neat! Maybe they don't do it here because it's too hot in summers. Our summer nights are still over 100 degrees. They should do it in the winter here. Would be really neat. Sounds like alot of fun!

Aah that is something I would definitely go to if they had that here. I know they have "The Green" which is an area downtown Vienna where groups or bands sing songs and or perform. I have yet to see one though.

Nope but there used to be a free movie on Wednesdays at the Country Club when I was a member there. I'm not now so I don't know if they still have it. Other than that there are no free movies in Trinidad.

Not sure if they do or not, I'll have to check around, thanks for the idea. They do have $1.00 movies though, I'd rather see a cheap movie because if it bites I won't have wasted too much money on it. Plus when the kids want popcorn and drinks they can get what ever they want, I'm saving $50.00 by going to the dollar theater, why not spend it on junk food instead.

Hi there beautyqueen. I will tell you of what i know about movies here in my town and country. Well to start of with my town - we don't get free movies, but we can have a discount on Wednesdays if we bring a code from an Orange phone number (that's a mobile phone provider). The only place you can see free movies is in Constanta, a city located at the Black Sea and it runs usually in the summer as well.

Yeah we have movie in the park nights, usually every Friday, but they have stopped it I believe due to the coldness of Autumn coming upon us.

Sadly, where I'm liking in Oklahoma now, there aren't any free movies. Where I lived in MA, there were some during the summer in the park. They were a lot of fun. There was also a beach in CT that had free movies on the beach...that was a blast! Closest thing we have here are drive in movies, and they aren't free. However, you can bring lawn chairs and your own food, so it's close. On weekends there are 3 first-release movies for $5.00. Drive-in is usually open until mid-November, or until the weather stays cold.
