How many hours a day do you sleep ??

Sometimes I sleep for 8-9 hours and some times 5 hours . What about you ??

I think sleep is important because it helps the body get refreshed and gives a persons mind the time to recharge,I have heard that you have to have at least eight hours of sleep a night to function properly but I think that is not true,me and my fiance usually get anywhere from eight to twelve hours a sleep per night depending on when we go to bed,and if we have to be up for anything,we normally go to sleep around eight am and get up about four or five pm,but lately we have been going to sleep around seven pm and we have been getting up around five am,which we are trying to get back on our third shift schedule because we both prefer to be up during the night because we both feel like we can get more things accomplished when it is quiet in the house.

i would have about 6 hours in the night and an hour of nap in the day. i find it sufficient for me. now i am in my mid 30s. when i was in 20s to early 30s, i need to have as much as 12 hours daily which i do not understand why. i would always find myself in lack of sleep and i would alway sleep in office. only recently in the past 1-2 years did my sleep load decreases by 20-30% and at times, i can even cope with 4-5 hours of sleep at night. therefore now i can spend more time online and do other things and i find it more meaningful then spending these time in bed.

I need to sleep at least 10 hours a day. Minus the time I spend on naps. I just love to sleep. Majority of my time is alotted on my sleeping time. If only I could sleep all day I would do it by all means.

I sleep anywhere from 2-8 hours a night. It just depends on how well I can sleep and what's going on.

I think that 6 to 8 hour is sufficent for sleeping in a day .

About 8 hours. But it doesn't seem enough for me. After 8 hours of sleeping, I still would like to sleep more when my alarm rings. When people see me, they will still ask "you don't have enough sleep yesterday?". I still don't know how many hours I actually need. :(

Well depending on when I go to sleep, I always am awake at 7 in the morning. Not because I want to but because I have children that want to! I usually try and get at least 7 hours of sleep so I can function somewhat in the morning, without coffee! But other times I just can't sleep and don't end up falling asleep till like 2 in the morning, it sucks, but it seems like I can function better with just a little bit of sleep then with alot! I wish I could just catch up on all the sleep I have lost raising my 3 kids, but it hasn't happened yet. Even when my kids are gone for the weekend, I still end up waking up early! It's weird but I think that 7 is my set alarm in my brain and if I over sleep then I will be more tired and same if I undersleep! It's strange I know but I think it's what happens when you have kids! Hi noel0000 On a good night I get 5-6 hrs a night I have 2 kids under the age of 4 and one of them likes to stay up late and get up early
