Blog Action day '08: Down with Poverty!

Today the world over are unite(ing) with one clear voice: to write about poverty. Poverty is the state of not having enough opportunities to food, shelter, clean water, education which of course determines the kind of life a person leads. The world over, rich or poor, we all have poor or people in this kind of state. They could be un-existent in your community but maybe not in your country. In Uganda, where I live, I see so many people like this, especially children. People who don't have a job, no food, education is distant dream (or none at all), sleep in sewerage system, beg for a living... Question today is: How are participating to end poverty in the world today? We could all participate in so many ways. You could blog about it, write an article in the paper/Internet, hold/attend fundraisings, join a charity organisation (not necessarily the "big-name" ones), volunteer online or physically & work on a project in either Africa or wherever you want. Together we can kick poverty out of this planet in our age and time! If you are interested in how you can participate in helping the people in Uganda, just add me as a friend or email me.
