There is a lady that live near here that makes a little extra money from home. She makes and sells Pickled Produce, she goes by the nickname Sister Gal. She pickle's just about every fruit there is and people just go wild about it. She sell this from her home. She pickles, oranges, pineapples, lemons, apples, Crab apples. Probably more. Do you like pickles?

Hmm well that is interesting, I have never had pickeled oranges, pineapples, lemons or apples. Just regular pickles made from cucumbers. I do like a crispy cucumber pickle once in awhile on a hot summer day or to dice up into a potato salad. But not real fond of them as a regular diet.

Did you use regular cucumbers or pickling cucumbers? There are plants just for pickling. That's what I grow and use for my pickles. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I am having a hard time with the idea of pickling fruit. I have had pickled peppers, and also a relish tray, sort of, that was pickled-slices of carrot, broccoli and couliflower in a dill or salt solution.

Hi Chevee, I don't like pickles and my hubby eat it like a candy! LOL! I do know, I just find it too sour or just strong vinegar taste!

Canned Pickles - Some of the quarts of pickles I made this year.
I grew pickling cucumbers this spring. I canned maybe 25 quarts totoal. Gave some to neighbors, friends, and of course family. I have about 10 quarts left at home. Thios is most of them in the fridge. I made bread and butter, sweet, and dill pickles with them. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I don't like pickled fruits or pickled eggs. I do like dill pickles. I also like pickle relish.

I like the sweet cucumber pickles. The bread and butter kind and the little midget ones. I don't care much for dill pickles although sometimes I have them on my hamburger. I never had pickled fruit tho. Sounds interesting.

I like some kinds of pickles, but not necessarily all of them. My grandma used to make pickled peaches. She would peel the peaches, stick a clove or two in them and then the pickling solution. I would eat those occasionally. I like cinnamon ring pickles, they are sweet, but usually I prefer dill pickles. I have used the same recipe for pickles, green beans and okra.

Hi chevee!! I love pickles, as in pickled onions - i could eat them with just about anything, or even on their own! i think it's the strong vinegar flavour that i like! I don't know if i would fancy any pickled fruit though, i've never tried it, but i am not sure i would like the mixture of sweet and pickled flavour!! I think i might have to try it to find out though!! Sounds as though the lady who likves near you has got a really nice little business going on, it's always nice to but local produce form independant businesses rather than always shopping in the supermarkets! xxx
