Hot lemon and honey tea is very good for sore throats if you don't want to take any medication for it.

Boil or (mirowave) some water and just add a table spoon of lemon juice (or you can squeeze a lemon in you prefer) and just add a bit of honey (to taste) mix well and drink. It's pretty easy.

Here is a list that I use, Honey and lemon tea, vitamin c, gargle with warm salt water. Soups and broths. Tylenol or some type of pain reliever. Check for fever and be careful iin case it could be steph. Depending on how long that you have had it and if there is a fever, I would go to the doctor.

The sprays like chloraseptic work very well for me. They kill germs , lessen pain and make your throat feel better. I would call my doctor back if non of these things help. HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER QUICKLY!

Here in our country we drink warm "calamansi" juice or maybe lemon would do. We also find it useful to gargle with warm water with salt. Those were the old fashioned way of dealing with it. We usually have better medications now, there may be different brands out there so I really can't tell which ones to use. Hope you get better soon, please do consult your doctor too. Take care.

Honey will coat your throat and provide some relief. ALso you could try applying something cool to the outside of your neck for some temporary relief. The pharmicist will sometimes mix up some lidocane with benedryl in it (known as majic mouthwash)that numbs it for a short time. I don't think you have to have a prescription for this but you do have to ask the pharmacist to mix it for you. Hope you feel better soon!
