Are you afraid to swim in the ocean?

I have never been to the ocean. :( But if I did go, I have to say that I would probably be way too scared to go in, even just a little bit.

i'd rather choose to swim on a swimming pool than to swim in the ocean. i'm also afraid swimming in the ocean. swimming pools are more safe to swim.

I am afraid to swim in the ocean because I'm not a good swimmer and if I get suck in by the big waves I wouldn't be able to make it on the shore.

i love the ocean, i learned swimming when i was a kid, i have to or else i will drown because my uncle used to bring my cousins and i to the deep and then released us. i have to float to survive lol. and my elder sister's friends use to throw me from the barge down to the water and made fun of me. my summers were spent most on the ocean and i love it.

If I can help it, you will not catch me in the ocean. We live near the Gulf Coast in the United States, and the last time I went to the beach I was watching my friends daughter swimming and all of a sudden a shark fin came out of the water about a half a mile from her. It reminded me of the movie Jaws. I calmly called her out of the water and then I told her what happened. I already did not like going in the ocean to begin with, because I was scared I would step on a crab or jellyfish. After that I will not willingly go in the ocean.
