You those get to know you surveys that get forwarded?

Just a thought that I'd like to point out...alot of the questions on the surveys that friends forward on about getting to know you are...the security questions for websites. Like: Middle name your mom's maiden name name of your first pet where you were born home town Theres a whole list of common security questions on MOST of those emails. I'm usually REALLY careful about who i answer these to..if its family well they know most of these answers...and the others i dont bother filling in the answers or forwarding it on. Do you fill these out? Had you noticed they were the security questions?

Smart for not doing them anymore! Some people I dont worry about getting that info because they already know it...like my parents or siblings.

I've never really used myspace...they have them on there too as quizzes or just things a friend sends you?

when i first joined myspace i did them all the time.. glad i dont anymore.. and the email ones i dont open just because its a forward

I joined one survey site but it didn't work out the way I thought it would. I did not think about the personal data they extracted from me. Maybe they were legit or maybe they were not. Nothing ever happened. Cheers!!

I wasn't referring to the sites...i was referring to the emails that people send with lists for you to fill out. You're right though some survey sites ask for that info too.

I do not do them, but I had not really made the security connection You are so right. I have also been told that those forwards have some way of gathering information about everyone who answers. Of course if people do not delete the list of copies, you are also subject to anything from them as well.

I've noticed some people dont delete other peoples answers they just add theirs to it...i delete other peoples data.

i hate it when ppl fwd those type of things to me!! especially when its family! i automatically just delete them. never thought of it before, but you're quite right!! they ARE common on sites for security! huh..thats rather worrisome isnt it?

It is rather worrisome. I tend to delete most forwards..they dont annoy me but im usually not interested.
