I blow dry my hair almost 4x a week or whenever I have enough time to do it. It feels good when I blow dry my hair because it adds shine and feels light. I am curious, does it damage your hair blow drying your hair that often? Or, do you blow dry you hair? DO you like it?

Blow-drying hair can cause it to dry out. As long as you are using a moisturizing conditioner or leave in conditioner you should be fine. Redken heat glide it one of the best products to use. It sounds like you have normal hair but the very dry shampoo is making your hair more oily. I could be wrong though. Usually hair does not get that oily that fast. You could be making your oil glands work over time by stripping out your natural oils? If you can skip a day here and there to give your hair a break. A leave in conditioner would not hurt. Every one should switch up there shampoos and conditioners every couple of months no matter what. It's help keep hair healthy and gives it the nutrients it needs.

i've known about the dangers of blow drying your hair since i was young and i try to avoid it when possible. since i don't really put THAT much care into my hair. i'm sure if you put the proper oils and conditioners in your hair, it should be fine. but shine doesn't come from blow drying. what causes damage is HEAT, and any type of head would do it. right now they have treatments for heat damaged hair as well so now days its not much of a big deal, as long as you take care of your hair there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Blow drying is bad for the hair. Hairstylish even advise that if you can avoid using blowdry it will be better to just let your hair dry by just rubbing it with a towel. Unless there are special occasion and i really need to dry my hair fast that i have no choice but to use blow dryer. But i dont use my blow dryer everyday. I only use it during times that i am on the rush.

It will cause damage to the hair because it will dry it out. You can combat the problem by using hair products that help protect your hair from the heat and repair the damage. I blow dry my hair too.
